Biography

As a senior (2016): One of four team captains…competed with the varsity eight for the third straight season…over that three-year span, she has raced with the varsity eight in 29 spring races…rowed with the varsity eight in all 11 spring races for the second straight season…sat in the stroke seat during each of the boat’s first nine races of the season before closing the year with two straight races in the six seat…sat at six with the V8 at the American Athletic Conference Championship…sat at stroke for the Hornets’ bronze medal winning performance at the WIRA Championship.

As a junior (2015):
One of five Hornets to compete with the varsity eight in all 11 spring races…began the season by sitting at four during the first six races before two races in the seven seat, and three races at bow…sat at bow when the varsity eight won a bronze medal at the American Athletic Conference Championship…part of a crew that was named the American Athletic Conference Boat of the Week on  March 31.

As a sophomore (2014):
Raced with the varsity eight in each of the first seven races of the spring, sitting in the two seat on five occasions, and once in both the three and five seats…finished the season by competing the final five races with the second varsity eight…sat in the six seat for the JV8’s gold-medal winning performance at the WIRA Championships…that boat was named the Conference USA Boat of the Week after posting one of the fastest JV8 times in school history (6:53.10)…sat at stroke with the second varsity eight the final three races, including the Conference USA Championships…one of six Hornets to earn the National Scholar-Athlete Award from the CRCA, given to rowers who maintain a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average…also named to Conference USA’s Honor Roll for academic excellence.

As a freshman (2013):
Competed in the stroke seat with the novice eight in seven spring races…also was the stroke of the varsity four in five races…competed with the novice eight and varsity four on the same day at the Sacramento State Invitational, and against San Diego State…her boat won three of those four races.

High School: 2012 graduate of Vista Murrieta High School in Murrieta, Calif.

Personal: Parents are Phil and Deborah…a mathematics major…has a 2,000-meter ergometer time of 7:24.3.
