Biography

As a senior (2015): A first team all-American Athletic Conference selection after stroking the varsity eight to a bronze medal at the conference championship regatta…did not miss a spring race, and, after sitting at stroke with the second varsity eight in the boat’s first six races of the season, she stroked the varsity eight during the final five races…never missed a race during her four-year career, rowing with the varsity eight and second varsity eight each season during that span…named the Sacramento State Female Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year…recipient of CRCA Scholar-Athlete honors for the third straight year, recognizing rowing student-athletes with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average…one of seven rowers in school history to receive the honor three times during their careers.

As a junior (2014):
One of five Hornets to compete in all 12 spring races with the varsity eight…sat at bow five times, the seven seat five times, and in the four seat on two occasions…sat at bow for the boat’s silver-medal winning performance at the WIRA Championships…has competed with the Hornets’ top boat in 21 consecutive races dating back to last year…received an assortment of academic accolades, including National Scholar-Athlete honors from the CRCA for the second straight year…was one of just 15 rowers from Conference USA’s 11 rowing institutions to earn All-Academic honors from the league…received the league’s academic medal, given to Conference USA student-athletes that carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or better…also a member of Conference USA’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

As a sophomore (2013):
Named the varsity squad’s most inspirational rower…began the season in the second varsity eight, rowing in the seven seat in two races with the boat…was elevated to the varsity eight at the San Diego Crew Classic, and rowed with the top boat in each of its final nine races of the season…sat in the seven seat five times, and the four seat on four occasions…finished the season in the seven seat at the Dad Vail Regatta…one of six Hornets to receive the National Scholar-Athlete Award, given to rowers with a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.

As a freshman (2012): Competed with the second varsity eight in all but one spring race, helping the boat to a silver medal at the WIRA Championships…raced three times at stroke, four times in the seven seat, and finished the year in the three seat…sat at three at the WIRA Championships…one of just two freshmen that competed in the second varsity eight at WIRA’s.

Personal: Graduated from Sacramento State in the spring of 2015 with a health science major…posted a 7:29.2 on the 2,000-meter ergometer test.
