Biography

2001 Season: Was limited to bars during the year due to an ankle injury which kept her off beam…set a career high with a 9.850 at the Western Independent Championships to end the season…that score placed her sixth all-time in school history…also recorded a 9.825 at home against Alaska Anchorage and UC Davis.

2000 Season:
Continued to be a stronghold on bars by competing in all 13 meets, registering team points in 12 of those competitions…broke her career mark on bars with a 9.825 at the Cal Invite…tied the same score at the NIT meet…scored 9.550 or higher in 10 straight meets.

1999 Season:
Competed in all 15 competitions for the Hornets in 1999 as a member of the bars team…competed beam most of the season as well…also saw action on floor exercise in three meets…competed on both bars and beam at regionals and again at the USAG Collegiate Championships…her 9,.775 on beam at UC Davis was the sixth-highest by a Hornet during the year.

Prior to Sacramento State:
A 1998 graduate of Torrey Pines HS in Del Mar, Calif., and a member of the Mission Valley YMCA in Mission Valley, Calif…the 1998 Avacado League gymnastics MVP…also seleted to the CIF team in 1995 and again in 1998…considers her 1998 Souther California State bar championship (Level 10) and going to the US Junior Olympic Nationals in1993 as her greatest athletic performance.

Personal: A business major…parents are Don and Peggy Gillette.
