Biography

2000 Season: A three-event specialist (vault, beam, floor)…helped set a program record on vault with a team score of 48.600 at San Jose State…finished with a seaosn high score of 9.550 in three meets…tied her career best on beam with a mark of 9.675 at Seattle Pacifc and at the Western Independent Championships…also recorded a season high 9.650 on bars vs. San Jose State.

2000 Season:
Competed in the all-around for the first time and set career bests in three events during the season…scored 38.200 in the all-around at Seattle Pacific for her season best…reached career high on beam with a score of 9.675 at the NIT…best bars score was 9.725 at the Cal Invite.

1999 Season:
Competed on vault, beam and floor at both the NCAA Regionals and the USAG Collegiate Championships…her floor routine counted as part of the Hornets’ team total in each of the 15 meets…scored 9.500 or higher on floor in seven meets…also scored for the team in 14 meets on vault.

Prior to Sacramento State:
A Level 10 gymnast who was a member of Rohnert Park Gymnastics and an all-arounder at Analy HS in Sebastapol, Calif…her accomplishments as a Level 10 gymnast include a third-place finish at the 1997 NorCal State Championships individually and for her squad…also was a Region 1 qualifier in 1997 and 1998…as a Level 9 gymnast, she placed fifth at the 1996 Region 1 Championship…also finished first on vault and in the all-around at the 1996 NorCal State Championship.

Personal: Has yet to declare a major…parents are Brenda and Don Skaife.
