Biography

2004 Season: Set career highs in three events during the year…named first team all-MPSF on vault after averaging 9.759…scored a 9.850 on vault and a 9.725 on beam at the Salbasgeon Suites Invitational at Oregon State…scored a 9.900 on bars against Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis…her vault score is tied for the seventh best in school history…competed as an all-arounder in four of the first five meets…did not compete on floor after Feb. 8.

2003 Season:
Was one of three Hornets to qulaify for the NCAA regional…joined Nirvana Zaher as an all-arounder at the event…including regionals, she competed as an all-arounder in 10 meets…scored 38.600 on two occasions to set her career high…established new career marks on vault, bars and beam…top vault score of 9.700 came at the MPSF Championships where she tied for sixth…also tied for fifth at the MPSF Championships on bars with mark of 9.800…career high on bars came in a tri-meet at Cal State Fullerton…scored 9.675 on beam against Seattle Pacific.

2002 Season:
One of two freshmen to compete as a two-event specialist (bars, floor)…on bars, she recorded a season high 9.775 on two occasions during the season…tallied a season best 9.750 on floor against UC Davis on March 15…also competed on beam in two meets…registered team scores on bars in nine of 12 meets.

Prior to Sacramento State:
A member of Stars & Stripes Gymnastics in San Marcos, Calif., where she was a regional and SoCal all-around competitor…was a Level 9 SoCal state floor champion…also a Level 10 SoCal state vault champion…competed at Level 9 & 10 regional competitions as an all-arounder with a personal high score of 36.000…played one season of field hockey as a central midfielder at Orange Glen HS in Escondido.

Personal: Majoring in public relations…parents are Lynn and Doug Smith and Reny Buduan…earned Golden State Exam Honors in 2000.
