Julie Shutler, Annual Fund Director

Shutler has served in the Sacramento State Athletics Department since 2016. Shutler received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Marketing from Sacramento State in 2012 and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Sacramento State in 2020.

Shutler began her career with Sacramento State Athletics competing on the women’s golf team from 2008 to 2012. During that time Shutler earned first team all-Big Sky honors twice with MVP honors in her Senior year and was named Sacramento State Student-Athlete of the year in 2012.

After graduating from Sacramento State in 2012 Shutler pursued a career in professional golf competing on the Symetra Tour and Women’s Canadian Tour. She competed in the LPGA Qualifying School tournament three times and earned several top 10 finishes.

In 2015 Shutler returned to Sacramento State and joined the Development team as the Hornet Club Coordinator. During her professional career with Sacramento State Athletics Shutler has served as a Development Coordinator, Student-Athlete Mentor, Business Analyst and most recently the Annual Fund Director.

In her current role, Shutler oversees the Sacramento State Athletics Fund annual giving campaigns and oversees a majority of the department’s corporate sponsorships.
