Biography

2020 Beach Season
Played all six matches during a shortened spring season…each of those matches came at No. 1 with teammate Ashtin Olin…posted straight set wins at Pacific (23-21, 23-21) and against Santa Clara (25-23, 21-17)…nearly a beat a tandem from San Francisco, before falling, 22-02, 21-19…a Big West all-academic selection for the third straight season.

2019 Beach Season
Named honorable mention all-Big West Conference after playing in 18 of the team’s 21 matches…missed three matches because of injury…played all 18 of those competitions with Mikaela Nocetti at either the No. 1 spot (14 times) or 2 spot (four times) in the lineup…with the score tied at 2-2 at home against San Francisco, Davis/Nocetti provided the match clinching win at No. 1…Davis/Nocetti won five matches together, including an 18-21, 21-18, 16-14 victory over Mia Mason and Olivia Hallaran from Arizona, which was ranked 12th in the nation…of the 18 matches, Davis and Nocetti played together, they took on a nationally ranked opponent in seven of those contests…had a three-match winning streak from April 5-19, beating opponents from UC Davis, Pacific and Arizona…a Big West all-academic selection for the second straight year.

2018 Beach Season
Played in all 21 matches during the season at either No. 1 or No. 2 in the team’s lineup…went 3-11 at No. 1, and 2-5 at No. 2…played 18 of those matches with doubles partner Mikaela Nocetti, and three with Kennedy Kurtz…played the first 18 matches of the season with Nocetti, and each of the last three with Kurtz…over a span of five matches, she won four times from April 7-14…played in 14 straight matches at No. 1 from March 10-April 14…a Big West all-academic selection.

2017 Beach Season

Posted a 3-16 record in her first year of beach volleyball as a true freshman, and played every match with teammate Kennedy Kurtz…the duo played primarily at the No. 3 spot where they went 3-15…also played once at No. 2…two of their wins came against San Francisco, including a 21-19, 19-21, 15-6 victory on March 11 and a 21-16, 21-19 win on April 15…final victory came in straight sets over Cal Poly’s Holland Boege/Raeann Greisen by a 21-19, 21-14 score…that victory against Cal Poly clinched a 3-2 win for the Hornets over the Mustangs…Davis and Kurtz were two of just six players on the Hornets’ roster to play in all 19 matches.

High School
A 2016 graduate of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz…played four years of varsity volleyball for the Sabercats…helped lead Saguaro to improved records each of her first three seasons with the team, culminating in a Div. III, Section V championship and qualifying for the quarterfinals of the 2014 state championship…that team finished with a 28-11 overall record and a 10-0 section mark, and Davis was awarded Div. III second team all-state accolades…as a senior, Davis was named team captain and was rewarded with all-city honors after finishing the year with averages of 4.00 kills, 2.20 digs, 0.48 blocks and 0.66 aces per set to go along with a .360 hitting percentage…spent her freshman season playing middle blocker before shifting to outside hitter during her final three years with the program…a four-time MaxPreps Player of the Match selection, Davis was on Saguaro teams that improved from 10-19, 5-7 as a freshman, to 22-16, 8-2 as a sophomore, and 28-11, 10-0 as a junior…during her senior season, the team played Div. II, Section II where they finished 14-17.

Personal
A communication studies major who will graduate in the spring of 2020…parents are Tom and Jana Davis…played four seasons for the Revolution Volleyball Academy in Scottsdale…most recently, played for the Revolution 18 Premier team.
