2026 Beach Volleyball Roster
Biography
2026 Beach Season
• An honorable mention all-Big West Conference selection
• Played with Kate Doorn in all 31 matches, primarily at the No. 3 spot
• Went 1-0 at No. 2, 13-7 at No. 3, and 6-4 at No. 4
• Posted a team-best 20-11 record
• The 20 victories were easily the most by a Hornet pair in Sacramento State single-season history, surpassing the previous mark of 16
• Won eight of their final 10 matches of the season
• Went 6-2 in three-set matches
• Did not lose at home, posting a 5-0 record
• Posted consecutive wins over Santa Clara, followed by a victory over UC Davis during a two-day stretch (April 17-18)
• Won five straight from March 7-14
2025 Beach Season
• Played in all 26 matches
• The majority of those matches came at No. 4 in the team’s lineup
• Played twice at No. 3 in the lineup, and 24 times at No. 4
• Played every match of the season with partner Victoria Marthaler
• The duo beat doubles teams from Portland, Saint Mary’s, San Francisco, Pacific, San Jose State
• Went 4-1 during a nine-day stretch from Feb. 28-March 8
• A Big West all-academic selection for the second straight year
2024 Beach Season
• Played in all 28 matches at No. 3 with teammate Karlee Soderberg
• Won 10 matches, which included a three-set victory at 7th-ranked Long Beach State at the Big West Tournament
• That win came over an LBSU duo (Gibson/Glenn) that had been 17-3
• Guevara and Soderberg won that match, 21-17, 5-21, 15-13
• Began the season with victories in each of their first three matches
• A Big West all-academic selection
2023 Beach Season
• Played in a pair of matches in her first season with the Hornets
• Both of those came at No. 4 with Tiyanane Kamba-Griffin
High School
• A 2022 graduate of University Prep Academy in San Jose, Calif.
• Played four years of varsity volleyball for the Golden Eagles
• Was a two-sport athlete throughout high school, playing four years of varsity volleyball and varsity basketball
• In volleyball, she was a three-time first team all-league selection
• Only year she wasn’t named all-league was her junior year (2020) when the team didn’t play because of the pandemic
• Combined for 319 kills and 80 aces during her final two seasons (2019, 2021)
Personal
• Daughter of Steve and Dawnis Guevara
• A kinesiology major who graduated in the spring of 2026
• Played for the Stingray Volleyball Club in San Jose
• Mother, Dawnis, is the winningest volleyball coach in De Anza College history, and was a four-year starting outside hitter at San Jose State
• Father, Steve, played collegiate volleyball and basketball
