Biography
2021 Beach Season
Played in two of the Hornets’ nine matches during the beach season…played at No. 4 with Michelle Taynton vs. Pacific, and played at No. 4 with McKenna Smith vs. Santa Clara.
2020 Beach Season
Played all six matches during a shortened regular season…all six of those matchups came at No. 3 in the team’s lineup…played first three matches of the season with Paige Swinney, before playing the final three with McKenna Smith…picked up a three-set win with Smith against San Francisco (25-23, 15-21, 15-9)…a Big West all-academic selection.
2019 Beach Season
Did not play during the season because of injury, and received a medical hardship.
High School
A 2018 graduate of Queen Creek High School in Arizona…started all four seasons for the varsity team…played at middle blocker her first three years, and moved to outside hitter as a senior…over her final two seasons, she helped the Bulldogs to a combined 58-28 overall record and 14-2 in league, as well as two state tournament appearances, a 2017 regional championship, and an appearance in the 2017 state championship match…the Bulldogs lost in the state championship game to Sunnyslope High School in four tight sets (25-19, 25-27, 25-23, 25-21)…a first team all-region selection each of her final two seasons.
Personal
A communication studies major…daughter of Angie Beauchene…played high school volleyball with her younger sister, Jada…played six years for Club One VBC, and helped the team to Nationals during her 15s, 16s and 17s seasons…was a six-rotation middle blocker until her 17s club season when she transitioned to a six-rotation outside hitter…was the team captain for her 16s squad…played alongside fellow Sacramento State teammate Kayla Subbert on the 17s team…has volleyball in her bloodlines as her mother, Angie, played four years (1994-97) for Lewis-Clark State College…aunt, Lisa Beauchene, was one of the most prolific players in Sacramento State history where she was the 2003 Big Sky Conference MVP, a three-time Big Sky Tournament MVP and three-time unanimous first team all-league selection as a setter from 2000-03.
