Former Big Sky champion Steven Pust joined the Sacramento State coaching staff in February of 2018 where he will coach the team's pole vaulters.

Pust concluded his college career in the spring of 2017 for Sacramento State. With the Hornets, he was the Big Sky indoor champion and placed second at the outdoor championship. That effort helped the team secure the Big Sky Men's Outdoor Championship at Hornet Stadium.

The Merced, Calif., native left Sacramento State ranked third indoors with a best of 16-08.00. Outdoors, he is tied for third at 16-04.75. Pust earned all-Big Sky honors four times during his career and scored for the team in each of his conference indoor and outdoor appearances.

He graduated from Sacramento State in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology.
