Olympic gold medalist Kimberly Graham-Miller was hired at Sacramento State in September of 2014.  She has been apart of six Big Sky Championship teams.

At Sacramento State

2021 Season

  • Coached LaTrouchka Duke and Mikayla Revera to all-Big Sky honors in the women's sprints.
  • Duke finished second in the 100 and 200 as a true freshman while Revera was third in the 400.
  • Duke's time of 11.67 in the 100 ranked fourth in program history.
  • Team did not compete during the indoor season due to COVID-19.

2020 Season

  • Mentored four all-conference selections at the Big Sky Indoor meet as Mikayla Revera was the individual champion in the 400 and palce second in the 200, Shilah Bedingfield was third in the 200 and the 4x400 relay team finished first.
  • The women combined to set five of the top 10 marks in school history in the 60. The group was led by Bedingfield who set the school record of 7.52. Patterson ranked third in 7.55, Meaghan Rogers sixth in 7.64 and A'Miracle Barlett and Revera tied for ninth (7.73).
  • In the indoor 200, Bedingfield moved into second place with a mark of 24.00. Revera was third (24.11) and Barlett 10th (24.92).
  • Revera, Bedingfield and Jasmin Correa also cracked the top 10 list at Sacramento State in the 400. Revera ran 54.13 which moved her into second place. Bedingfield claimed fourth in program history (55.16) and Correa was sevneth (55.89).
  • The outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19.

2019 Season

  • Helped the Hornet women win the team title at the Big Sky Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
  • Coached Shilah Bedingfield to honorable mention All-America honors as she finished 23rd in the 200 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
  • Bedingfield was the Big Sky outdoor champion in the 200 and 400 and finished eighth in the 200 at the NCAA West Preliminary at Sacramento State where she set the school record with a time of 22.95.
  • Bedignfield also ran 53.02 to set the school record in the 400 and 11.46 in the 100 during the season which ranked second in school history.
  • Also led Mikayla Revera, Brittany Patterson and Cassidy Zurn to all-conference honors outdoors. Revera was third in the 200, Patterson was second in the 100 and Zurn finished second in the 400-hurdles.
  • Revera (400, 54.42) and Zurn (400H, 59.27) ranked fourth in the school history
  • The 4x100 relay team of Revera, Bedingfield, Amari Jones and Patterson set the school record with a time of 45.13.
  • During the indoor season, Bedingfield was second in the 200 and Emilia Del Hoyo finished third in the 60-hurdles to earn all-Big Sky accolades.

2018 Season

  • Coached six all-Big Sky performers during the year, including Andre Lindsey who finished first in the 60-hurdles at the Big Sky Indoor Championships.
  • Carly Schulz was third in the 400 at the indoor meet and moved into third place in school history with a time of 54.74.
  • Schulz also posted the sixth fastest indoor 200 by a Hornet with a tie of 24.39 during the year.
  • At the outdoor championships, Lindsey was third in the 110-hurdles while Shilah Bedingfield was second in the 200 and third in the 400.

2017 Season

  • Her athletes played a large role in helping Sacramento State win the men's team title at the Big Sky Championships. Andre Lindsey and Aric Walden finished 1-2 in the men's 110-hurdles and senior Michael Turner was third in the 200 and fifth in the 100 en route to sharing the Men's Most Outstanding Athlete of the Meet award.
  • Lindsey and Walden along with two female hurdlers each qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary following the regular season where Lindsey advanced to the second round.

Prior to Sacramento State

  • As a coach, Graham-Miller has had stops at Duke, Virginia, UC Davis and Illinois. While at Duke and UVa, she coached five All-Americans, three ACC champions and eight all-ACC athletes.
  • At UC Davis, she coached four individual Big West Conference champions and helped the Aggie women win the conference title in 2012 and 2013.
  • Graham-Miller also mentored seven NCAA participants, one honorable mention All-American and a USA Championship qualifier in the sprints.

Athletic Accomplishments

  • A decorated athlete while competing at Clemson, Graham-Miller was a three-time Atlantic Coast Conference Performer of the Year (1991-93), the only woman to win the honor three times.
  • In 1996 she was 3rd at the U.S. Olympic Trials and a member of the U.S. Olympic team in 1996 where she won a gold medal in the 4x400m relay. Graham-Miller later won the 400m at the U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 1998.
