Biography

2020 Season
Played in 19 games, including one start at third base in a shortened season…made a team-high 17 appearances as a pinch runner, and scored on eight of those occasions…the eight runs tied for the sixth most on the team…had three at-bats…played in 88 games during her four seasons with the program…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

2019 Season
Played in 24 games…22 of those appearances came as a pinch runner…scored 11 times during those pinch running opportunities…finished the year 1-for-4 with a walk, RBI and a stolen base…scored a run in nine of her final 14 games of the season.

2018 Season
Appeared in 12 games, including four starts…all four of those starts came at third base…came in as a defensive replacement at shortstop against Howard where she went 1-for-2 with a run and RBI…made six appearances as a pinch runner, scoring on three of those occasions…had 12 at-bats during the season.

2017 Season
Appeared in 33 games as a true freshman, including three starts…all three of those starts came at shortstop…finished the season 1-for-8 with a walk, stolen base and seven runs scored…first collegiate hit came against Seton Hall…made a team-high 29 appearances as a pinch runner…scored on seven of those occasions…a Big Sky all-academic selection…named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete for academic prowess.

High School

A 2016 graduate of Lompoc High School in Lompoc, Calif…a four-sport athlete, she played four years of softball and basketball, and two years of both golf and cross country for the Braves…between the four sports played, Sager was an eight-time first team all-league selection…also earned 12 varsity letter scholar-athlete awards during her four years…during her senior season in softball, she was named the co-MVP of the Los Padres League, Santa Maria Times Female Athlete of the Year, first team all-section, first team all-league and the recipient of the all-area gold glove award…during that senior season, she helped lead the Braves to a 2016 CIF Southern Section Div. V championship and a league title…named first team all-league all four years in softball while serving as the varsity squad’s starting shortstop each season…was a league MVP in two different sports in 2016 as she was also the Los Padres league co-MVP in basketball…was named league MVP during her junior season in basketball as well…during her basketball career, she scored 1,104 points, and finished her senior season with averages of 14.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.3 steals per game…helped lead the basketball team to three consecutive league championships.

Personal
Maintained a grade point average above a 4.0 all four years of high school, and finished with a 4.24 gpa…parents are Carl and Therese Sager…a kinesiology major who is on track to graduate in the fall of 2020…played three years of travel ball with Bownet out of Santa Maria, Calif.
