2024 Season
Named the Big Sky Conference co-Player of the Year, third team all-West Region, unanimous first team all-conference, and Big Sky all-tournament…second time she was named to all-region team (2022)…a team captain…third straight season she was named first team all-Big Sky, and second straight year unanimously…three-time Big Sky Player of the Week selection…hit .379 (47-for-124) with six doubles, two triples, 15 home runs and 49 RBIs…also scored 33 runs with 15 walks, an .823 slugging percentage and .463 on-base percentage…hit .426 (23-for-54) with runners in scoring position with 15 multiple-RBI games…ranked among the top 20 players in the nation in RBIs per game (10th, 1.17), home runs per game (16th, 0.36) and slugging percentage (16th, .823)…finished season on an eight-game hitting streak in which she batted .636 (14-for-22) with 10 runs, two doubles, five homers, 14 RBIs and 1.409 slugging percentage…in four games at the Big Sky Tournament, Day hit .600 (9-for-15) with five runs, two homers and six RBIs in four games…finished as both the Big Sky and Sacramento State’s all-time leader with 61 career home runs…one of the greatest players to ever wear a Hornet uniform, Day holds the program record for runs (152), homers (61), RBIs (180), slugging percentage (.721) and total bases (435)…also ranks second in program history in walks (97), third in on-base percentage (.455), fourth in hits (214), fifth in batting average (.355), tied for fifth in games played (211), and tied for sixth in starts (207)…Big Sky all-academic selection for the fifth straight year…named Sacramento State's Female Student-Athlete of the Year.

2023 Season
A unanimous first team all-Big Sky Conference selection…has now received all-league recognition three straight years…a team captain…one of three Hornets to start all 47 games…43 of those starts came at third base…the other four came at first base…hit .328 (45-for-137) with 32 runs, eight doubles, 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, a .620 slugging percentage, .424 on-base percentage and 1.044 ops…one of eight Hornets in program history to register 40 RBIs in a season…finished among the top two players in the Big Sky in home runs (1st), slugging percentage (1st), RBIs (2nd) and ops (2nd)…hit .432 (16-for-37) with runners in scoring position, and led the team with 15 two-out RBIs…had a nine-game hitting streak (Mar. 25-Apr. 11), and eight-game streak (Feb. 24-Mar. 12)…finished season on a five-game hit streak…has 46 career home runs, the most in program history…surpassed the previous record of 45 in the final game of the regular season with a homer at Saint Mary’s…Big Sky all-academic selection for the fourth straight season.

2022 Season
A second team all-Pacific Region, and first team all-Big Sky Conference selection…a team captain…played in 54 of the Hornets’ 55 games, including 52 starts at third base…hit .359 (56-for-156) with 40 runs, nine doubles, 16 homers, 39 RBIs, a .724 slugging percentage, .471 on-base percentage and 1.195 ops…ranked among the Big Sky’s top five players in walks (30, 1st), total bases (113, T-1st), slugging percentage (2nd), home runs (2nd), ops (3rd), on-base percentage (4th) and runs scored (4th)…also led the Big Sky with 98 assists…led the Hornets in multiple-hit games (18) and multiple-RBI games (13)…named Big Sky Player of the Week on March 8…had a team-high streak of 14 straight games reaching base safely…named to the Big Sky all-tournament team after connecting for two home runs during the Hornets’ four-game run at the postseason event…homered in four of the final six games of the season…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the third straight season.

2021 Season

An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection after starting all 42 games…each of those starts came at third base…hit a team-high .315 (35-for-111) with 30 runs, 14 homers, 32 RBIs, 82 total bases, 22 walks, a .739 slugging percentage, .441 on-base percentage and 1.180 ops…team leader in each of those categories…also hit .406 with runners in scoring position…in program single-season history, the slugging percentage ranks second and the home runs rank third…ranked among the Big Sky’s top five players in five categories, including second in home runs, third in slugging percentage, fourth in both walks and on-base percentage, and fifth in total bases…also 5-for-6 in stolen base attempts…shredded Big Sky opposition to the tune of a .364 batting average with 10 home runs and 22 RBIs in 18 games…had a massive 1.407 ops in conference play, and averaged one home run every 5.5 at-bats…ranked among top three players in league play in home runs, RBIs, total bases and slugging percentage…with the Hornets down to their final two outs in the seventh inning, Day’s two-run homer gave the Hornets a 4-3 win in the Big Sky Tournament over regular season champion Weber State…named the NFCA National Player of the Week after homering four times with 10 RBIs in a doubleheader at Southern Utah…first player in school history to homer four times on the same day…during that three-game series at Southern Utah, she reached base safely in all 12 plate appearances, which included four home runs, 10 RBIs, five intentional walks and a 2.571 slugging percentage…named the Big Sky Player of the Week on Feb. 17 and May 10…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

2020 Season

One of four Hornets to play in all 26 games during the shortened season…started 25 of those games, all at third base…had one of the best freshman seasons in program history, batting a team-best .413 (31-for-75) with 17 runs scored, six home runs and 20 RBIs…hit a home run every 12.5 at-bats, and finished with a .707 slugging percentage, .488 on-base percentage and massive 1.195 ops…her team-high 53 total bases ranked as the 64th best mark in the nation among all Div. I players…ranked among the Big Sky’s top five players in numerous categories, including first in hits, second in batting average, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, homers, total bases and RBIs, and fourth in runs…first collegiate home run was a grand slam against Seton Hall…owned the team’s longest hitting streak (7 games), and longest streak of reaching base safely (14 games)…in fact, Day reached base safely in all but two games all season, including each of the final 10 games of the season…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

High School

A 2019 graduate of Armijo High School in Fairfield, Calif…played four years of varsity softball for the Indians, and was a four-year starter…during her career, she hit .491 (104-for-212) with 85 runs, 21 doubles, six triples, 23 home runs, 103 RBIs, a .592 on-base percentage and a 1.564 ops…named the Monticello Empire League MVP each of her final two years…raised her batting average every season, from .449 as a freshman, two .478 as a sophomore, .500 as a junior and .575 as a senior…a four-time first team all-league selection and three-time team MVP…as a freshman, Day led the MEL in home runs and RBIs in league play…during that freshman season, she had seven homers and 34 RBIs in 22 games…during her junior season, she was intentionally walked 25 times in league play.

Personal
Parents are Felix and Caroline Day…a communication studies major who graduated in May of 2023…working on a master’s in education leadership…played from 2016-18 for the NorCal Firecrackers organization…helped the team to a 2018 Premier Girls Fastpitch national championship in the 18-under Platinum Division…was teammates on the Firecrackers with Hornet teammate Kennedy Echols.
