2024 Season
Played in all 48 games, including 46 starts in center field…did not commit an error the entire season in center field (65 total chances)…had 26 hits in 111 at-bats with 14 runs scored and three stolen bases…hit safely in 11 of 12 games during a stretch from Feb. 17-March 8…threw a runner out at the plate in the sixth inning to preserve a 4-3 win over BYU…finished career playing in 162 games with 119 starts.
2023 Season
Played in 34 games, including four starts (three at second base, one in center field)…entered 26 games as a pinch runner, and scored on 10 of those occasions…finished the year with 12 runs scored, the eighth most on the team…was 3-for-3 in stolen base opportunities.
2022 Season
Played in 52 of the Hornets’ 55 games…that included 43 starts at five different positions…21 starts in center field, 11 at second base, seven in left field, and two each at shortstop and designated player…scored 15 runs and stole four bases…in nine pinch running appearances, she scored four times…scored runs in two of the Hornets’ four games at the Big Sky Tournament…started 13 of the team’s 18 games in league play.
2021 Season
Played in 28 games as a true freshman, including 26 starts (22 at shortstop, four at second base)…finished the season with seven runs scored, nine hits, seven walks and five stolen bases…started 12 of the Hornets’ 18 games in Big Sky play…went 3-for-3 on April 10 vs. Weber State…scored runs in three straight games from April 30-May 8.
High School
A 2020 graduate of Cosumnes Oaks High School in Elk Grove, Calif…played four years of varsity softball for the Wolfpack…senior season was cut short after four games because of the coronoavirus pandemic…as a junior, she helped the team to a 17-6 overall record, an 8-4 league mark and appearance in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Div. I Championships…hit better than .410 as a junior and sophomore, and was named all-conference both seasons…had a career batting average of .424 with a .943 ops and 45 stolen bases…hit .412 with a .495 on-base percentage as a junior, .512 with a 1.070 ops as a sophomore, and .327 during her freshman season…recipient of the Academic Achievement Award each year of high school.
Personal
Parents are Stanley Echols and Denise Whitsett…an environmental studies major who will graduate in the summer of 2024…played three years of travel ball for the NorCal Firecrackers organization…was the leadoff batter for the 2017 Premier Girls Fastpitch national championship winning team…played on the Firecrackers with Hornet teammate Lewa Day.
