• Did not play during the season because of injury

2024 Season
• Appeared in 10 games in the circle as a true freshman
• Had 12 strikeouts in 21.0 innings pitched
• Posted a 2-0 record, which included wins against New Mexico State and Saint Mary’s
• Threw two perfect innings of relief against Michigan
• Also threw two innings of shutout relief against Nebraska
• Both of those games were one-run outcomes
• All 10 of her outings came in relief

High School
• A 2023 graduate of Red Bluff High School in California
• Played four years of softball for the Spartans
• First two years of softball at Red Bluff were shortened because of the pandemic, where the team played a combined 15 games over those two years
• As a senior, Smith had a 0.82 ERA with 54 strikeouts with just six walks in 34 innings
• As a junior, she was the team captain. Missed six weeks because of injury, but when she did pitch, Smith accumulated 115 strikeouts with just three walks
• That junior year strikeout-to-walk ratio was a whopping 38-to-1
• Was a member of the honor roll every year of high school

Personal
• Daughter of Courtney and Gary Smith
• A health science major
• Played travel ball for Universal Fastpitch
• Helped Universal Fastpitch to a 44-2 record in 2020, when she was 16-0 with a 0.45 ERA, 59 strikeouts and six walks
• As a sophomore, while playing for Universal Fastpitch, she had a 1.06 ERA with 33 strikeouts and four walks. Also hit .450 with a .478 on-base percentage
• As a 12-year old, she was selected to play at the All-American Games, a prestigious tournament played at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City
