Biography

2018 Season
Played in 17 games, including six starts (five at designated player, one at catcher)…also had a team-high nine pinch hitting appearances…finished the year with four hits, a double, two RBIs, five walks and a .290 on-base percentage…hits came against Santa Clara, UC Riverside, Howard and Saint Mary’s.

Prior to Sacramento State

Played one season (2017) at New Mexico State…appeared in 41 games, including 22 starts as a true freshman…helped the Aggies to an NCAA Regional appearance, a Western Athletic Conference Tournament championship and a 29-25 overall record…started each of the final three games of the WAC Tournament as well as both NCAA Regional games at designated player…hit safely in four of those five games, including a 2-for-4 performance with two RBIs in New Mexico State’s second Regional game vs. Saint Francis…overall, she batted .292 (21-for-72) with 12 runs scored, three doubles, five homers, 17 RBIs, a .542 slugging percentage, .446 on-base percentage and a .988 ops…committed just one error in 51 total chances, good for a .980 fielding percentage.

High School
A 2016 graduate of Placer High School in Auburn, Calif…played four years of varsity softball at first base and catcher…was a first team all-Pioneer Valley League selection in 2013, 2014 and 2016…named the Pioneer Valley League MVP and team MVP as a senior in 2016 after setting the school record with 14 home runs…during that senior season, she hit .437 with seven doubles, 14 homers, 26 runs scored and 32 RBIs…had a .523 on-base percentage, 1.126 slugging percentage and a 1.650 ops…hit .365 with two homers as a freshman and .500 with four home runs as a sophomore…played in the Optimist All-Star Game.

A kinesiology major…parents are Aaron and Julie Rubio...played at Placer High School for her father, Aaron, during her final three seasons of high school ball.
