2024 Season
Played in 21 games, including two starts (one in left field, one at designated player)…a team captain…14 of her 16 at-bats during the season came in pinch hitting roles…had a pinch-hit three-run double in a 7-1 win over California Baptist…also had pinch hit singles vs. Iowa and San Jose State…had a career-high three walks in a start vs. Montana.
2023 Season
Played in three games…all three of those appearances came as a pinch hitter…had at-bats vs. Utah Valley, UC Davis and Northern Colorado.
2022 Season
Played in 24 games, including one start…that start came in left field…led the team with 19 pinch running appearances…scored on nine of those occasions…was 1-for-4 with a run scored in pinch hitting opportunities…an NFCA Scholar-Athlete selection for academic excellence.
2021 Season
Played in six games as a true freshman…three appearances as a defensive replacement, two as a pinch runner and one as a pinch hitter…had two plate appearances which included a walk vs. Weber State…a Big Sky all-academic selection.
High School
A 2020 graduate of Woodland Christian High School in Woodland, Calif…played four years of varsity softball for the Cardinals…her senior season was cut short after just five games because of the coronavirus pandemic…during her four seasons, she helped the team to a 70-18 combined record with two San -Joaquin Section championships (2018, 2019) and three league titles…was the starting shortstop on both section championship winning teams…a three-time first team all-Central Valley California League selection, and an all-city choice as a junior…in 85 career high school games, she hit .531 with a .622 on-base percentage, 1.476 ops, 99 runs, 120 hits, 11 homers, 30 doubles and 104 RBIs…hit above .500 during all three full seasons of her high school career and struck out just 22 times in 295 plate appearances.
Personal
Parents are Louis and Ting Pires…a psychology major who graduated in the spring of 2024…played travel ball for the All American Sports Academy and Lady Magic Softball.
