Biography

2023 Season
Played in 30 games, including 18 starts…11 starts at designated player, seven at catcher…hit .237 overall, and .250 in Big Sky Conference play…hit .333 in nine pinch-hit at-bats…had one of the Hornets’ biggest hits of the season - a three-run pinch-hit home run to break a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning of a 5-2 road win at Montana…in a win over Southern Utah, she was 2-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs…did not commit an error during the season…began the year with a four-game hitting streak.

2022 Season
An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection for the second straight season…played in 37 games, including 32 starts (all at catcher)…hit .284 (25-for-88) with 11 runs and 10 RBIs…did not commit an error the entire season, and threw out seven runners attempting to steal…started each of the final 14 games of the season, including all four Big Sky Tournament games…caught a pitching staff that finished with a 3.54 team ERA (3.13 in league), the second best mark in the conference…hit the first three home runs of her career - UC Davis, Idaho State and Santa Clara…missed 10 straight games with injury between March 12-25.

2021 Season

An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection…played in 28 games, including 24 starts at catcher…played in 15 of the Hornets’ 18 conference games…hit .273 in conference play with a .385 on-base percentage…had three multiple-hit contests over a four-game stretch between April 2-9…that included a pair of two-hit games at Montana, followed by 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs against first-place Weber State…drew at least one walk in seven different games…committed just one error all season behind the plate in 90 total chances (.989 fielding percentage)…allowed just one passed ball all season and threw out seven would be base stealers.

2020 Season

Played in 21 games in a shortened season, including 17 starts…all 17 of those starts came at catcher…batted .347 (17-for-49), the second best mark among Sacramento State regulars…had seven RBIs, nine walks and a .448 on-base percentage…if she had enough at-bats to qualify, the on-base percentage would have ranked fourth best in the Big Sky…committed just one error all season…had five multiple-hit games, including a 3-for-3 performance against Hawai’i…drew three walks against UC Santa Barbara…hit .316 with runners in scoring position, and .353 with two outs.

High School

A 2019 graduate of San Benito High School in Hollister, Calif…transferred to San Benito HS prior to her sophomore season and played three years of varsity softball for the Haybalers…spent her freshman year at North Monterey County High School…during her three seasons at San Benito, she was a three-time all-league selection, including first team as a junior and senior, and second team as a sophomore…combined to hit .456 (124-for-272) with 38 doubles, nine home runs and 74 RBIs during her three years…also had a .702 slugging percentage and 1.192 ops…hit .457 as a sophomore, .477 as a junior, and .436 as a senior…had eight home runs during her senior season.

Parents are Andres and Valerie Rodriguez…a kinesiology major…played travel ball for the California Suncats.
