2019 Season
Appeared in five games, each time as a pinch hitter…went 1-for-5 in those pinch hitting opportunities with three RBIs…had a hit and a pair of RBIs in the Hornets’ Big Sky Tournament win against Idaho State…had an RBI during the regular season at Idaho State as well.
2018 Season
Played in 31 games, including 27 starts at designated player…had 15 hits in 77 at-bats, including two doubles, two homers and 14 RBIs…averaged nearly one RBI per hit…had a walkoff homer in an 1-0 extra inning home win over conference rival Portland State…struck out just eight times in 77 at-bats…also had four pinch hitting appearances…was hit by a pitch five times, third most on the team…tied for the team lead with two sacrifice flies…a Big Sky All-Academic selection for the second time.
2017 Season
Did not play during the season while recovering from injury.
2016 Season
Played in 16 games, including five starts as a true freshman…all five of those starts came at designated player…had a team-best 10 plate appearances as a pinch hitter, going 2-for-9 with a hit-by-pitch and a home run in those situations…overall, for the season, she hit .261 (6-for-23) with two runs scored, a double, home run, three RBIs and a .346 on-base percentage…first collegiate home run came in an 11-3 win at Montana, a two-run shot over the center field wall…a Big Sky All-Academic selection.
High School
A 2015 graduate of Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif…played three years of varsity softball and four seasons of volleyball…played softball as a freshman and sophomore, took a year off during her junior season, and came back to play softball for the Bulldogs as a senior…a three-time first team all-Golden League selection, Diaz helped lead Highland to a combined overall record of 68-11 and conference mark of 41-1 during her three seasons…that includes three league titles and three Southern Section Playoff appearances…the 2015 squad team went 28-3 and a perfect 14-0 in conference, and advanced all the way to the Section championship game before falling to Torrance High School, 1-0…during her softball career, she batted .419 (98-234) with 12 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs and 90 RBIs in 79 games…also scored 70 runs and had an on-base percentage of .473, slugged .666, and had an ops of 1.140…averaged 1.1 RBIs per game during the course of her career…hit better than .380 all three years of her career…struck out just 32 times in 264 plate appearances (once every 8.3 plate appearances)…as a pitcher, she made appearances in the circle during her freshman and senior seasons…in 11 appearances (one start), she was 2-0 with a 1.81 ERA, including 29 strikeouts with just three walks in 27.0 innings…allowed just two extra base hits during those 27.0 innings and limited opponents to a .219 batting average…played in the San Fernando Valley East-West All-Star Game in June of 2015…honored at the 4.0 Student Recognition Dinner, recognizing high school students with a 4.0 cumulative gpa or higher.

Parents are Manuel and Tina…a film major…played ASA club ball for the California Raiders of Mission Viejo…brother, Zach, played baseball at Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif.
