Biography

2024 Season
A first team all-Big Sky Conference selection after leading the Hornets with a .389 batting average (56-for-144)…one of two Hornets to start all 48 games…that includes 47 starts in left field, and one in center field…also led the Hornets in hits (56), average with two outs (.438) and multiple-hit games (18)…hit .382 in Big Sky play…hit .415 (17-for-41) with runners in scoring position…had four hitting streaks of at least four games long, and reached base safely in 38 of 48 games…finished season on a career-high eight-game hitting streak…her .389 batting average also accompanied five doubles, four triples, eight walks, 15 RBIs and a .421 on-base percentage…struck out just eight times, or once every 18.0 at-bats… hit safely in all four games of the Big Sky Tournament, finishing the postseason event with a .400 batting average (6-for-15) and four RBIs…finished four-year career playing in 171 games (153 starts) with a .296 batting average and .349 on-base percentage…Big Sky all-academic selection for the fourth straight year.

2023 Season
Played in 46 of the team’s 47 games…started all 46 of those games…that included 44 starts in left field, and two in center field…hit .266 (34-for-128) with 15 runs, 15 walks, 16 RBIs, a pair of stolen bases and a .338 on-base percentage…stuck out just once every 16 at-bats…hit .365 (19-for-52) with runners in scoring position…had a six-game hitting streak, and a five-game hitting streak…had 71 putouts in left field, the most by a Hornet outfielder…hit safely in five of the final six games of the season…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the third straight season.

2022 Season
Played in 41 games, including 26 starts…that included three starts in left field, and 23 in center field…started each of the final nine games of the season…hit .267 in conference play…committed just one error all season in the outfield…an NFCA Scholar-Athlete and Big Sky Conference all-academic selection for the second straight season.

2021 Season

Played in 36 games, including 33 starts as a true freshman…32 of those starts came in left field, one in right field…started each of the final 23 games of the season, including all 21 games against Big Sky opponents…team’s third leading hitter with a .271 batting average (26-for-96) with 10 runs scored, five doubles, eight RBIs and a stolen base…had three hitting streaks of at least four games long…upped her average in Big Sky play to .286…hit .308 with runners on base, and .355 with two outs…in seven opportunities with a runner at third base and less than two outs, she drove in the run five times…96 at-bats were fourth most on the team…a Big Sky all-academic selection, and NFCA Scholar-Athlete.

High School

A 2020 graduate of Ann Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill, Calif…played four seasons of varsity softball for the Bulldogs…senior season was cut short after six games due to the coronavirus pandemic…was 8-for-16 with nine runs scored prior to the shutdown…played both outfield and pitcher…a second team all-Blossom Valley Athletic League selection as a sophomore and junior…named the Central Coast Section and Blossom Valley League Freshman of the Year in 2017…in 2019, she batted .422 with a .469 on-base percentage and 1.002 ops…as a freshman, she hit .500 with 14 doubles, five triples, a home run and a 1.286 ops…also as a freshman, she hit a two-out, RBI-double that drove in the winning run in the 12th inning against Oak Grove HS…that win secured the Bulldogs a spot in the section playoffs…finished high school career with a .435 batting average…a member of the honor roll all four years of high school.

Personal
Parents are Greg and Mia Parish…a child and adolescent development major who graduated in the spring of 2024…sister, Samantha, also plays for the Hornets…first sisters to play on the same Sacramento State softball team since Londyn and Tiffany Ray in 1997…played travel ball for the Batbusters of Stockton…Alexis played with both her sister and Hornet teammate Marissa Bertuccio on the Batbusters.
