Biography

2024 Season
• Played in both the singles and doubles lineups during the spring
• Went 5-7 in dual singles play, including 1-0 at No. 4 and 4-7 at No. 5
• Posted a 9-10 dual doubles record, including 1-0 at No. 1, 3-4 at No. 2, and 5-6 at No. 3
• Played with three doubles partners, primarily with Jan Silva
• Novak/Silva were 6-6 in doubles play (5-5 at No. 3)
• Teamed with Rand at No. 2 doubles to win (7-6) in the Big Sky Tournament championship match. That victory secured the doubles point in an eventual 4-1 win over Northern Arizona

2023 Season
• Appeared in four spring dual singles matches, and six dual doubles matches
• Battled injury a good portion of the season
• In singles, he played three matches at No. 5, and one match at No. 6
• All six of his doubles matches came at No. 2
• Played the majority of his doubles matches with Adam Chodur
• Won his lone singles match vs. a Big Sky opponent in straight sets at No. 3

Prior to Sacramento State
• Played each of the last two seasons (2021, 2022) at Grand Canyon of the Western Athletic Conference
• Played at Nos. 1 and 2 in both the singles and doubles lineups in 2022
• As a freshman in 2021, he played all season at No. 1 doubles, and Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in singles
• During that freshman season, he was a first team all-WAC doubles selection, and second team all-WAC singles choice
• Received both WAC singles and doubles player of the week awards
• Went 10-7 in doubles as a freshman, all the No. 1 spot in the lineup
• Helped the Antelopes to a 2021 WAC regular season and tournament championship, and NCAA Tournament appearance

High School
• A 2020 graduate (high school) of Secondary Vocational School of Business and Trade

Personal
• A communication studies major on pace to graduate in the summer of 2024
• Father, Jiri Novak, was a professional tennis player from 1993-2007, and reached as high as No. 5 in the ATP world rankings in 2002.
