Jackson DeVries enters his first season as Sacramento State’s assistant coach in 2026.

A graduate of Sacramento State, DeVries was the assistant coach at Solano College in Fairfield, Calif., during the 2023 season. He has also been an assistant pro at Sutter Lawn Tennis Club in Sacramento since 2025.

The Fairfield native played for Solano College two seasons (2021, 2022) where he played No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. He qualified for the doubles state championships in 2022 while helping Solano to a Big 8 South Tournament title that same season.

DeVries graduated from Sacramento State in 2025 with a kinesiology degree (Athletic Administration concentration).

DeVries is the son of Steve DeVries, who played professionally for eight years and appeared at all four Grand Slam tournaments. He won four doubles titles, and was ranked as high as 18th in the world in 1993. The elder DeVries was a collegiate All-American for Cal in singles and doubles, and was inducted into both the Cal Athletics, and USTA NorCal Hall of Fames.
