Eric Roberson, a long time coach and player in the Sacramento area, completed his first season as an assistant coach with the Sacramento State women's tennis team in 2016-17.

Roberson had served as a volunteer assistant coach over the four previous years for the Sacramento State men's tennis program and worked as an instructor at Rio Del Oro Racquet Club. A Sacramento native, Roberson graduated from McClatchy high school before playing collegiately at Boise State.

He played four seasons with the Broncos and helped the team win three conference titles while also getting ranked as high as No. 16 in the nation. Roberson played professionally following his time in Boise and qualified for the US Open in 2013, playing with his partner Yasmin Schnack in mixed doubles after the pair won the US Open National Playoffs Championship.

Roberson began training at Rio Del Oro at age eight and has been a life-long tennis player and coach. He has also worked at the Spare Time Junior Academy and Broadstone, working with many of the top players in Northern California.
