2024 Season
Played in 46 of the team’s 48 games, including 43 starts (24 at catcher, 18 at first base, one at designated player)…had 25 hits in 108 at-bats, including six doubles, 10 walks, 13 RBIs and a .331 on-base percentage…second on the team with six sacrifices…had the game-winning hit in a 3-2 victory at ninth-ranked Stanford…in that game, with the score tied at 2-2 in the sixth inning, Parish drove home her sister, Alexis, with what proved to be the game-winning run…the hit came off one of the nation’s top pitchers NiJaree Canady…hit .333 (4-for-12) with a run, two doubles and a .467 on-base percentage over four games at the Big Sky Tournament…during a two-game stretch vs. Nebraska and New Mexico State on Feb. 17, Parish went 6-for-9 with four runs, two doubles and two RBIs…finished career playing in 194 games, including 159 starts…finished with a .250 batting average and .986 fielding percentage…Big Sky all-academic selection for the third time.
2023 Season
An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection…appeared in 40 games, including 34 starts…starter at four different positions - 27 at first base, 4 at catcher, 2 in left field, and 1 at third base…committed just four errors all season, good for a .983 fielding percentage…hit .270 in Big Sky play with a .333 on-base percentage…played in all 17 games against a Big Sky opponent, including 16 starts…had a five-game hitting streak from March 5-15…has played in 148 games during her four seasons with the Hornets, including 116 starts…starter at five different positions during her career…a Big Sky all-academic selection.
2022 Season
One of three Hornets to start all 55 games…11 starts at catcher, and 44 starts in left field…hit .269 (46-for-171) with 29 runs, nine doubles, a triple, two homers and 13 RBIs…in conference play, Parish hit .309 (17-for-55) with eight runs and five RBIs in 18 games…hit safely in 36 games…that included a team-high tying nine-game hitting streak that lasted from Feb. 26-March 11…scored six runs over a three-game stretch from May 6-11…hit .312 (24-for-77) with runners on base…had a team-high 11 sacrifices, five more than any other Hornet…led the team in at-bats, and was second in runs and doubles.
2021 Season
Played in 34 games, including 21 starts…14 starts at catcher, and seven at designated player…hit .262 (17-for-65) with two doubles and a home run…raised her batting average to .348 against Big Sky opposition, the third best mark on the team…batted .375 (6-for-16) with runners in scoring position…had a two-run walkoff homer in the ninth inning of a 4-2 win over Idaho State…that home run was also her first collegiate round tripper…did not commit an error all season.
2020 Season
Appeared in 19 games in a shortened season, including six starts…had three starts in left field, two starts at catcher and one at designated player…went 6-for-27 with five runs, two doubles and three RBIs…did not make an error in the field…led the team with nine pinch hitting appearances…had a double and scored two runs in a start against Army, and had a pair of RBIs vs. Saint Mary’s…a Big Sky all-academic selection.
High School
A 2019 graduate of Ann Sobrato High School in Morgan Hill, Calif…played four years of varsity softball for the Bulldogs…was a three-time all-Blossom Valley Athletic League selection, including a first team choice in 2018 and 2019…hit .437 (111-for-254) during her four-year career, including 59 runs scored, 49 RBIs, a .505 on-base percentage, .527 slugging percentage and 1.033 ops…hit better than .380 each season, including .525 as a senior and .510 as a freshman…caught a no-hitter during her sophomore season against Pioneer High School.
Personal
Parents are Greg and Mia Parish…a geography major who graduated in the spring of 2024…played travel ball for Batbusters of Stockton, Calif., where she played with Hornet teammate Marissa Bertuccio…sister, Alexis, also plays softball at Sacramento State…first sisters to play on the same Sacramento State softball team since Londyn and Tiffany Ray in 1997.
