Sacramento State

2021-22 Season

• Named second team all-Big Sky.
• Played in the final 11 tournaments of the season (30 rounds) where he averaged 72.63 which ranks ninth in school history.
• Had three top 20 finishes, including tying for 11th at the Nick Watney Invitational and the Big Sky Championship.
• Shot 63 in the final round of the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic which set his career best and is tied for the second lowest in school history.
• Had 16 rounds at or below par which is tied for the sixth in the Sacramento State record book.
• Tied for fifth in program history with six rounds in the 60s.
• Finished the season ranked sixth at Sacramento State with a career scoring average of 73.22.
• Is third among all Hornets with 13 career rounds in the 60s.

2020-21 Season

• Named honorable mention all-Big Sky.
• Competed in all eight tournaments, including six in the starting lineup.
• Averaged 73.05 in 22 rounds which ranked second on the team and 10th in school single season history.
• Finished in thrird place at the Big Sky Championship after shooting 78-69-69-216.
• Was second at the Wildhorse Classic with rounds of 67-69-73-209.
• That total was his career 54-hole best and his first round score was his 18-hole low.
• Finished among the top 15 in four tournaments.
• Had eight rounds of par or better during the year which ranked second on the team.
• Shot 70 (1-under par) in the first round of the NCAA Cle Elum Regional where he was tied for 15th before the team had to withdraw.

2019-20 Season

• Played in five tournaments during his first season at Sacramento State, including two in the lineup.
• Averaged 74.67 in 15 rounds.
• Shot 69 in the final round of the Ka’anapali Collegiate for his season low.
• Also recorded his best 54-hole total at that event with rounds of 74-75-69-218.
• Highest finish was a tie for 39th at the Sacramento State Invitational.

Prior to Sacramento State

• Attended American River College for two years.
• Finished second at the Big 8 North Conference championships as a freshman.
• Placedd 17th at the CCCAA state championships as a sophomore.
• Graduated from Kennedy HS in Sacramento in 2017.

Personal

• Majoring in communication studies.
• Parents are Russell Tanihana and Rebecca Botelho.
