One of the most decorated golfers in school history, Aaron Beverly returned to Sacramento State as an assistant coach during the 2019-2020 season.

Beverly was a two-time Big Sky Player of the Year award winner and played in a pair of NCAA Regionals. He had 10 top three finishes during his career, including victories at the 2017 Big Sky Championship, the 2016 Sacramento State Invitational and the 2016 Folino Invitational.

Beverly ranks second in Sacramento State career history with a stroke average of 73.14. He is also tied for second in career victories and holds the school record with 10 top five finishes, 16 top 10 finishes and 21 top 20 finishes. His 14 career rounds in the 60s, 45 career round at or below par are the most in program history while his 122 total rounds place him second. He also had the lowest score on the team in 18 tournaments during his career which is six more than the next closest on the list.

In single-season records, Beverly owns the top two stroke averages all-time by a Hornet and is the only Sacramento State golfer to have a year averaging below 72. He set the school record with a mark of 71.83 in 2015-16 only to lower it the next year at 71.31. His eight rounds in the 60s in 2015-16 was a then-school record and is currently tied for the most in school history.

The Fairfield, Calif., native graduated from Sacramento State in 2017. He remains active in professional golf, competing in mini tour events.
