2017 Season
Played in 40 games, including 37 starts behind the plate…a team tri-captain…finished with 15 hits in 80 at-bats with two doubles, 11 walks and a .286 on-base percentage…had multiple-hit games against Southern Utah (twice) and Dartmouth…in her final two games, which took place at the Big Sky Tournament, she combined to go 3-for-6 with a run, double, walk and two RBIs…finished her career playing in 111 games, including 82 starts…all but five of those starts came at catcher…also finished career with a .986 fielding percentage, which is tied for the 16th best mark in the program’s Div. I era (1990-pres.)…the Hornets posted a four-year combined record of 52-26 in conference play during Gialketsis’ career…a Big Sky all-academic selection for the second straight year…named an NFCA Scholar-Athlete for academic prowess.
2016 Season
Played in 37 games, including 18 starts…all 18 of those starts came behind the plate…had one appearance as a pinch hitter and entered 18 games as a defensive replacement at catcher…hit .217 (10-for-46) with five runs scored, six RBIs, six walks and a .333 on-base percentage…committed just one error in 97 total chances (.990 fielding percentage)…entered a game as a defensive replacement in 16 of the final 29 games of the year…had a four-game hitting streak from Feb. 13-19…threw out seven runners attempting to steal…hit .313 with two outs, and four of her six RBIs came with two outs in an inning…a Big Sky All-Academic selection.
2015 Season
Played in 14 games, including 10 starts (eight at catcher, two at designated player)…had four hits in 27 at-bats with four RBIs and a stolen base…had at least one RBI in three straight games during a stretch in which she was 3-for-10 with a double, stolen base and four RBIs (Feb. 21-27)…had three at-bats during conference play…had two appearances as a pinch hitter, and one as a pinch runner.
2014 Season
An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection as a true freshman after appearing in 20 games, including 17 starts (14 at catcher, three at designated player)…overall, she batted .300 (15-for-50) with seven runs scored and 11 RBIs…also had a .397 on-base percentage and committed just one error all season (.986 fielding percentage)…hit .381 (8-for-21) with runners in scoring position…started 11 of the team’s 16 conference games, and batted .375 against Big Sky opposition to go along with a .429 on-base percentage…had an eight-game hitting streak from March 18-April 4…struck out just twice in 50 at-bats.
High School
A 2013 graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, Calif…played four years of varsity softball for the Mustangs at catcher and in the outfield…helped the Mustangs to a 67-23-2 overall record and a 24-6 league mark over her final three seasons, which included a Bay League title in 2011…as a senior in 2013, she was a first team all-Bay League and first team all-area selection by the Los Angeles Daily News after batting .434 (36-83) with a .484 on-base percentage…also did not commit an error the entire season…as a junior, she batted .478 (44-92) with eight doubles, three home runs, 36 runs and a .515 on-base percentage…did not commit an error during her final two seasons, and committed just two errors during her entire career…as a junior in 2011, Gialketsis batted .367 (29-for-79) with 17 RBIs in 30 games.
Personal
Parents are Tony and Donna…a mechancial engineering major who graduated in May of 2017…played four years for Orange County’s So Cal Strikkers.
