2016-17 Season
Did not play while recovering from a knee injury suffered during his senior year of high school.

High School

A 2016 graduate of Beyer High School in Modesto, Calif…played four years of basketball for the Patriots, including his final three seasons starting for the varsity team…believed to be the first men’s basketball in Beyer High School history to receive a scholarship from a Div. I program…was having a monster senior year prior to suffering a knee injury on Jan. 22 with six games remaining in the regular season…had surgery on the knee on March 21, 2016…goes down as one of the most successful players in school history, combining for 61 wins during his three years on the varsity squad at Beyer…two-time first team all-conference, two-time team MVP and six-time all-tournament selection…also a two-time first team all-district selection, Dancer was the runaway winner of the 2016 District Boys Basketball Player of the Year Twitter poll run by the Modesto Bee…led Beyer to its first CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoff win in a decade when the team beat Burbank HS on Feb. 25, 2015…raised his scoring average all three years of his varsity career from 10.1 points as a sophomore, 15.2 points as a junior, and 19.6 points as a senior…helped lead Beyer to an appearance in the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II Tournament all three years of his varsity career…was the team captain his senior season, and finished the year averaging 19.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game…named first team all-district, first team all-Modesto Metro Conference and team MVP for the second straight year…broke the school record for points in a game vs. San Joaquin Memorial High School in the championship game of the Modesto City Classic Tournament…in that game, he scored 43 points to break his own school record (36) from his junior year…was selected to the all-tournament teams at the Modesto City Classic and the McDonald’s Classic…as a junior, he was named first team all-conference, second team all-district, three-time all-tournament and team MVP after averaging team highs in points (15.2 ppg), rebounds (5.1 rpg) and assists (5.3 apg)…as a sophomore, he averaged 10.1 points and 4.2 assists per game…played on the junior varsity squad as a freshman.

Parents are George and Deedee Dancer…an undeclared major…brothers, DeAngelo and Dominick, also play basketball at Beyer High School…the three were teammates on the varsity squad during George’s senior year.
