Biography

2019 Season
Played in 51 games, including 50 starts as the Hornets’ center fielder…hit .270 (40-for-148) with 13 runs, five doubles, a triple, three homers, 24 RBIs and a .323 on-base percentage…committed just two errors all season…bumped her numbers in Big Sky Conference play to .365 (19-for-52) with seven runs, a homer and 11 RBIs…that homer was a three-run walkoff bomb in the 10th inning in a home win against Montana…named to the Big Sky all-tournament team for the second straight season after batting .400 (6-for-15) with a double, homer and five RBIs over four games…hit .325 with runners on base, and .333 with runners in scoring position…concluded the season on a six-game hitting streak…had 11 multiple-hit games and six multi-RBI games, both the fourth best marks on the team.

2018 Season
Started all 51 games, including 45 starts in center field and six at designated player…was a Big Sky all-tournament selection…hit .250 (38-for-152) with nine doubles, two triples, five homers, 28 RBIs and a .434 slugging percentage…ranked second on the team in RBIs, home runs and multiple-RBI games…hit .318 with runners in scoring position and .284 with runners on base…had a seven-game hitting streak (March 10-18)…connected on a grand slam in the first inning of the Hornets’ 7-3 win over Montana in the first round of the Big Sky Tournament…was named to the Big Sky all-tournament team…had a career-high five RBIs against Fairleigh Dickinson.

2017 Season
Appeared in 21 games, including five starts (three in left field, two in right field)…finished the season with two hits, and both of those hits were doubles…also had a sacrifice and three RBIs…had a team-high 12 plate appearances as a pinch hitter…also had two pinch running appearances…had a double and two RBIs in a pinch hitting role at Pacific…other double came at Southern Utah.

2016 Season
Played in 13 games as a true freshman, including eight starts…seven of those starts came in left field and one at designated player…had five hits in 27 at-bats, including two doubles and one RBI…had two hits, a double and a run scored in home win against Nevada…went 1-for-1 in a Big Sky Championship win against Southern Utah…had two at-bats as a pinch hitter.

High School

A 2015 graduate of Newark Memorial High School in Newark, Calif…was a four-year varsity starter for the Cougars…primarily played in the outfield, but also appeared at second base, shortstop and pitcher…a four-time first team all-Mission Valley Athletic League selection, Strong helped lead the Cougars to a combined 75-29 overall record, a 45-9 league mark, and four straight appearances in CIF Div. II North Coast Section Playoffs…was a first team all-East Bay selection as a senior and second team all-East Bay as a junior…during her senior year, she helped lead the team to a 21-6 overall record and a perfect 14-0 league mark after batting .477 with a .598 on-base percentage, seven doubles and four triples…as a junior, she hit .471 with 32 runs, 11 doubles, five home runs, 34 RBIs and a 1.302 ops…hit better than .400 all four seasons of her high school career, including .429 as a sophomore with a 1.109 ops., and .403 with a 1.050 ops as a freshman…did not commit an error in the outfield during each of her first two years with the team, and had a career-long 16-game hitting streak in 2012.

Personal
Parents are Lawrence and Liz Strong…a communication studies major who graduated from Sacramento State in May of 2019…played ASA club ball for the San Jose Lady Sharks…at the 2013 ASA Nationals, the Lady Sharks placed fifth in the nation, and Strong hit .419 at the nine-game tournament with three home runs, 10 runs scored and nine RBIs.
