2017 Season: Was named the co-Male Athlete of the Meet at the Big Sky Championships after helping the men’s team win the title…was the conference champion in the long jump, was third in the 200 and fifth in the 100…also ran the 4x100 and 4x400 relays…advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary in the long jump…moved into second place in school history with a long jump of 25-08.00 at the Big Sky meet…also set his PR at the meet by running 21.40 in the finals of the 200…fastest wind-legal 100 time during the season was 10.77 at the Brutus Hamilton Challenge…indoors, he earned all-Big Sky honors in the long jump after placing third…also qualified for the meet in the 60…best marks were 6.90 in the 60 at the Snake River Open, 22.32 in the 200 at the Husky Classic and 24-02.50 in the long jump at the Big Sky Championships.
2016 Season: Redshirted during the outdoor season…indoors, he earned all-Big Sky honors after placing second in the long jump and third in the 60…ran 6.88 in the qualifying round of the 60 to tie for seventh-fastest time in school history…long jumped 24-06.50 at the conference meet to rank fifth in the Hornet record book.
2015 Season: Advanced to the NCAA West Preliminary and was the Big Sky champion in the long jump…also qualified for the Big Sky meet in the 200…set his PR and recorded the sixth best mark in school history with a long jump of 24-04.25 at the Causeway Classic meet…fastest wind-legal 200 was 21.70 at the Sacramento State Open…ran a wind-legal 11.18 at the Aggie Open for his quickest 100…had four 100 times with wind over the legal mark…indoors, he was third at the Big Sky Championships in the long jump and also qualified in the 60…jumped 23-10.00 to set his PR and move into a tie for sixth place in the Hornet record book…ran 6.96 in the 60 at the Big Sky meet to move into ninth place in school history…fastest 200 was 22.62.
2014 Season: Placed second at the Big Sky Championships in the long jump and also qualified in the 100 and 200…set his career best at the Big Sky meet with a long jump of 24-02.50…ran 10.60 in the 100 and 21.77 in the 200 at the Causeway Classic…indoors, he finished sixth in the long jump at the Big Sky Championships with a career best of 22-10.50…ran 7.06 in the 60 at the Air Force Team Challenge for his fastest time.
2013 Season: Competed in the 100, 200 and long jump during his first collegiate season…qualified for the Big Sky Championships in all three events…ran 10.83 in the 100 at the Hornet Invitational for his season best…fastest 200 was a wind-aided 21.94 at the same meet…long jumped 23-02.00 at the Causeway Classic meet…redshirted during the indoor season.
High School: Graduated from Campbell HS in 2012…competed in track all four years…helped lead the team to the Santa Terresa League title as a junior…was named the school’s athlete of the year as a senior…best times were 10.9 in the 100 and 23.13 in the 200.
Personal: Majoring in mechanical engineering…parents are James Turner and Belita Rossin.
