2014 Season: Qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the pole vault…cleared 16-00.00 at the Causeway Classic for his season best…that mark is tied for seventh in school history…indoors, he competed at the Big Sky Championships…had a vest of 15-07.75 at the Husky Classic.

2013 Season: Qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the pole vault…cleared 15-09.00 at the Causeway Classic for his season high…indoors, he placed sixth at the Big Sky meet with a PR of 15-09.00…that height is tied for the fifth highest in school indoor history.

2012 Season: Placed fifth at the Big Sky Championships in the pole vault with a PR of 15-11.00…cleared at least 15-feet in five meets…indoors, he qualified for the Big Sky Championships in the pole vault…had a career best of 15-03.00 at the New Mexico Classic which places him sixth in the program record book.

2011 Season: Competed in five meets in the pole vault…cleared 15-05.00 at the Cal-Nevada Championships for his season best…indoors, his best was 14-11.00 at the Mountain States Games which ranks eighth in school history.

2010 Season: Redshirted during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Granada HS in Livermore, Calif…competed in four years of wrestling, three years of track and one season of football for the Matadors…was named all-East Bay Athletic League as a junior and senior in the pole vault…qualified for the state meet as a junior…was the EBAL champion as a senior…set the school record three times…best height was 14-08…was on the honor roll every semester in high school.

Personal: Majoring in mechanical engineering…parents are Doug Thompson and Yvonne Oates.
