2023 Season
Played in five games, including four starts at catcher…started games against UC Davis, Seattle, Southern Illinois and Idaho State…was the Hornets’ Opening Day starter at catcher.
2022 Season
Played in 29 games, including 12 starts…each of those 12 starts came behind the plate…did not commit an error all season…had seven hits in 31 at-bats with six walks and a .351 on-base percentage…scored six times in 11 pinch running opportunities…had a multiple-hit game in a 5-4 win at Cal, finishing 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double…scored runs in three of her final five games of the year.
2021 Season
Played in five games, which included three at-bats and a run scored…made four appearances as a pinch hitter, and once as a pinch runner…scored in her only pinch running appearance vs. Weber State on April 9.
2020 Season
Played in four games during a shortened season…had two at-bats and scored a run…made two appearances as a pinch hitter, and two appearances as a pinch runner…had at-bats vs. Seton Hall and Quinnipiac, and scored a run vs. Saint Mary’s.
High School
A 2019 graduate of Salinas High School in Salinas, Calif…played four years of both softball and basketball…in softball, she helped the Cowboys to a league championship in 2017, the school’s first title in 15 years…also helped the squad to three straight Central Coast Section playoff appearances (2017-19)…a three-time all-conference selection and two-time team MVP…named to the
Monterey Herald all-county team as a senior…hit better than .400 each of her final three seasons…during those three seasons, she combined for 25 doubles and 71 RBIs…recipient of the Scholar-Athlete Award during her freshman, sophomore and senior years.
Personal
Parents are Jesse and Anita Pinon…a psychology major who graduate in May of 2023…played travel ball for the Salinas Storm.
