Biography

2020 Season
Tied a team high by making 13 appearances in the circle, including nine starts over a shortened season…went 5-4 with a 2.75 ERA, including four complete games and 38 strikeouts in 51.0 innings of work…allowed just nine extra base hits, and the ERA was the fifth best mark in the Big Sky…the five wins were tied for second most in the conference…opponents hit .273 while Main was in the circle…right-handed hitters batted just .198…limited the opposition to a .239 batting average with runners in scoring position…also ranked among the Big Sky’s top pitchers in strikeouts (5th) opponents batting average (6th)…struck out a career-high 12 batters in seven innings against Hawai’i…tossed a five-hit shutout with five strikeouts against Quinnipiac…earned a complete-game win over UC Davis, allowing just two earned runs in seven innings…a Big Sky all-academic selection.

2019 Season
In her first season with the Hornets after transferring from New Mexico, Main finished the season with a pair of wins and a 3.35 ERA…the ERA was the fifth best mark in the Big Sky Conference…made 23 appearances in the circle, including nine starts…threw 62.2 innings with 25 strikeouts…was 1-1 with a 3.23 ERA in Big Sky play…earned wins against Saint Mary’s and Northern Colorado…of her 23 appearances, she allowed one earned run or less on 16 occasions.

Prior to Sacramento State

Played her freshman (2017) and sophomore (2018) seasons for New Mexico of the Mountain West Conference…during her two years with the Lobos, she made 57 appearances in the circle, including 46 starts…combined for 15 wins and threw nearly 245 innings (243.2)…as a sophomore in 2018, she posted team highs in wins (8), appearances (37), starts (29), complete games (13) and innings pitched (162.2)…one of those appearances came at the Lobo Classic in which she faced Sacramento State…despite the Hornets winning, 7-5, in extra innings, Main allowed the Hornets just four hits and no earned runs over 6.1 innings…also in 2018, she picked up wins over San Diego State on back-to-back days, combining to allow the Aztecs just three runs over 12 innings pitched…Main also had wins during her sophomore season against New Mexico State, Colorado State, UNLV and Cal State Northridge among others…offensively during her two seasons, she hit .320 (8-for-25) with six runs scored, a double, home run and seven RBIs…that included a sophomore year where she hit .357 (5-for-14) with seven RBIs in 14 at-bats…in the Lobos’ 5-2 win over Cal State Northridge, she pitched a complete-game victory while also hitting a three-run homer in the third inning.

High School
A 2016 graduate of Stevenson High School…named the Mission Trail Athletic League MVP during both her junior and senior seasons…a four-time all-county selection and a three-time Stevenson High School Top Female Athlete selection…named the conference pitcher of the year as a senior in 2016.

Personal
Parents are Thomas and Cathleen Main…a child development major…sister, Caroline, played softball at Canisius College in Buffalo…has four siblings - three sisters and one brother.
