2025 Beach Season
• A second team all-Big West Conference selection
• Three-time all-league recipient during her career (honorable mention in 2022 and 2024)
• Played in all 26 matches (25 at the No. 1 spot in the lineup) with partner Bridgette Smith
• Went 13-13, including a 12-13 mark at No. 1, and 1-0 at No. 2
• Of their 26 matches, seven came against nationally ranked opponents
• Posted wins against opponents from Oregon, Portland, San Francisco, Pacific, UTEP, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN, UC Davis, Santa Clara and Saint Mary’s
• Won five times over a six-match stretch from March 21-April 17
• Wraps up her career as the program’s all-time leaders with 48 beach victories
• Posted double-digit wins all four seasons of her career with every match coming at the No. 1 or 2 spot in the lineup
• A Big West all-academic selection for the fourth straight season
2024 Beach Season
• An honorable mention all-Big West Conference selection for the second time
• Played in all 28 matches, and finished 14-14
• That included an 11-9 record at the No. 2 spot of the team’s lineup
• 14 wins are tied for the most in program single-season history (Tisko also won 14 this season)
• Played 14 matches with Ellie Tisko, and 14 matches with Greta Davis
• Was named all-league with Davis…the two combined for a 9-5 record, including 1-1 at No. 1 and 8-4 at No. 2
• Volkmann and Davis won at No. 2 in straight sets (21-17, 21-11) over CSU Bakersfield at the Big West Tournament
• A Big West all-academic selection for the third straight season
2023 Beach Season
• Played in all 23 matches, and won a team-high 11 times
• All 23 of those matches came at the No. 2 spot in the lineup
• Played the first nine matches of the season with Greta Davis, and the final 14 with Ellie Tisko
• Went 8-6 with Tisko
• The duo went 5-2 over the final seven matches of the season
• That included a three-set win over CSUN at the Big West Tournament
• The eight wins are tied for the fourth best mark in Sacramento State single-season history for a doubles team
• Volkmann and Tisko were 5-1 in three-set matches
• A Big West all-academic selection for the second straight season
2022 Beach Season
• An honorable mention all-Big West Conference selection in her first active season with the beach program
• Won a program-record tying 10 matches
• That includes a 6-7 record at No. 1, and 4-6 at No. 2
• Played in all 23 matches with teammate and fellow freshman Bridgette Smith
• Won four of their final five matches of the season, including a three-set win at the Big West Championship over CSUN
• After playing each of their first 10 matches of the season at No. 2, the tandem played at No. 1 the final 13 matches
• Beat teams from Pacific (twice), San Francisco (four times), CSU Bakersfield, San Jose State, UC Davis and CSUN
• A Big West all-academic selection
2021 Beach Season
• Did not play during the season, opting to take a redshirt
High School
• A 2020 graduate of Silver Creek High School in Longmont, Colo.
• Played four years of volleyball and one season of basketball for the Raptors
• All four of those volleyball seasons were spent with the varsity squad
• As a senior, she was named first team all-state, Northern Conference 4A Player of the Year and first team all-league after tallying 413 kills (5.7 per set) to go along with a .320 hitting percentage
• Helped the Raptors to a 19-6 overall record, and a perfect 14-0 mark in league play
• Was a second team all-state selection and first team all-league choice as a junior after leading the state of Colorado with 552 kills (6.4 per set) to go along with a .348 hitting percentage
• During that season, she broke the school single-match record with 35 kills against Ponderosa High School in the state tournament
• Also named honorable mention all-league as a sophomore after fishing with 275 kills, and an average of 3.7 per set
• Over her final three years, she combined to record 1,224 kills, 122 aces, 435 digs and 147 blocks
• A four-time academic all-state selection
Personal
• Parents are Andy and Janine Volkmann
• A business major who graduated in the fall of 2023
• Graduated in just three and a half years
• Completed her master's degree in business analytics in the spring of 2025
• Played for the NORCO Volleyball Club in Windsor, Colo.
