2018 Beach Season
Played in each of the team’s first seven matches of the season, posting a 1-6 record…of those seven matches, four came at No. 1 in the lineup with Kennedy Kurtz and twice at No. 2 with Kurtz…also played at No. 3 in one match with Skyler Takeda…Gathright and Kurtz beat a team from Santa Clara in straight sets (21-19, 21-17) at the No. 1 position.

2017 Beach Season
A second team all-Big West Conference selection…one of six Hornets to play in all 19 matches…posted an 8-11 record, and was the only Hornet to play in all five spots of the team’s lineup…that included a 1-4 record at No. 1, 4-4 at No. 2, 0-1 at No. 3, 2-2 at No. 4, and 1-0 at No. 5…played with two different partners, beginning the season with Skyler Takeda (3-3) and finishing with Lexie Skalbeck (5-8)…with the score tied at 2-2 at Boise State on April 7, Gathright and Skalbeck clinched victory at No. 2 with a 22-20, 19-21, 16-14 win…the tandem of Gathright/Skalbeck played the final 13 matches of the season together…the  first eight of those matches were played at No. 2, and they were moved to the top spot of the team’s lineup during the final five competitions of the season…Gathright/Skalbeck won five matches together, including victories over duos from Oregon (twice), Boise State, San Francisco and San Jose State…at one point during the season, they won five times over a six-match span.

2016 Beach Season
Played in 14 of the team’s final 15 matches of the season…played with three different partners and went 3-11…was selected honorable mention all-Big West Conference with teammate Hannah Meadows…Gathright/Meadows became partners in early April, and combined to post three wins…that included victories against Saint Mary’s, Cal Poly and Feather River College…Gathright/Meadows played at Nos. 4 and 5 in the Hornets’ lineup, including the final nine matches of the year at No. 4…the duo posted a 22-20, 21-19 home win at No. 4 against Cal Poly, and a 21-17, 21-15 road win at Saint Mary’s at No. 5…Gathright also went 0-1 with both Skyler Takeda and Brigitte Murdock.

High School
A 2015 graduate of Vacaville High School…competed in three sports for the Bulldogs, including four years of volleyball, three years of track & field, and two seasons of basketball…spent her freshman season with the volleyball team on the JV squad before competing varsity the final three years…in volleyball, she was a two-time first team all-Monticello Empire League selection during both her junior and senior years…as a three-year varsity player, she combined for 545 kills and 148 blocks in 226 sets, which breaks down to 2.41 kills and 0.65 blocks per set…as a senior, she averaged 2.49 kills and 0.93 blocks per set while hitting .320…averaged a career-best 3.35 kills per set during her junior year…raised her hitting percentage all three years of her career…during her three varsity years, the Bulldogs combined for a 64-38 overall record, a 30-15 conference mark, and never finished worse than third in the league standings.

Personal
Parents are Glenn and Cassandra Gathright…a psychology major…played three years of club volleyball for Five Starz in Davis for former Sacramento State head coach and AVCA Hall of Famer Debby Colberg…played on the 2014 Five Starz team with Hornet teammate Skyler Takeda.
