                        2014 Sand Season
Went 2-4 at No. 4 with Lexie Skalbeck during the first half of the season, before going 1-5 over the final six matches at No. 3 with Lauren Aikels…her win with Aikels came against San Jose State in a 21-16, 21-23, 20-18 victory…the two victories with Skalbeck came against doubles squads from Cal and Cal Poly. 
2013 Indoor Season
Appeared  in 30 matches, including 29 starts and 105 sets played at middle  blocker…posted averages of 1.24 kills and 0.82 blocks per set to go  along with a .267 hitting percentage…the .267 hitting percentage was the  best mark on the team among all non-setter positions…had a .306 hitting  percentage against conference competition, and .355 in home matches…hit  above .300 on 11 occasions, including six kills and .857 vs. Lafayette,  eight kills and .571 vs. Northern Colorado, eight kills and .500 vs.  North Dakota, and seven kills and .700 vs. Weber State…in the last match  of the season, she posted a career-high 11 kills to go along with a  .444 hitting percentage at Montana…finished Sacramento State career with  averages of 1.16 kills and 0.88 blocks per set to go with a .252  hitting percentage.
2013 Sand Season
 Played in four of the team’s eight matches during the program’s inaugural sand season…played twice at No. 5 with Breanne Menees, and twice at No. 5 with Kelsey Elston.
2012 Season
 Appeared in 17 matches, including eight starts and 50 sets   played at middle blocker…posted averages of 1.00 kills, 1.00 blocks and   1.52 points per set while hitting .217…after playing just 22 sets  during  the team’s first 24 matches, Motes started at middle blocker  each of  the final six matches of the season…over that six-match  stretch, she  averaged 1.32 kills per set while hitting .271…hit better  than .310 in  four of the final five matches of the season…season high  of eight kills  came in a win at Weber State…had four kills, a .375  hitting percentage  and season-best 10 blocks at home against Portland  State…had seven  kills, eight blocks and a .312 hitting percentage  against North  Dakota…in the eight matches she started, Motes hit better  than .310 on  five of those occasions.
 
 Prior to Sacramento State
 Appeared in all 57 matches during her two seasons (2010, 2011) with CSU   Bakersfield…as a sophomore in 2011, she was one of two Roadrunners to   appear in all 26 matches and 92 sets while posting averages of 1.16   kills and 0.71 blocks per set…hit .220 (107-50-259) and her 65 blocks   were a team high…had a season-best six blocks on three occasions during   her sophomore season, and ranked fifth on the team in kills…as a   freshman, she was the only Bakersfield player to start all 31 matches,   and led the team with 76 blocks (0.72 per set)…was named to the   all-tournament team at the Fresno State Invitational and had a   career-high eight blocks against Gonzaga.
 
 High School
 A 2010 graduate of Thatcher High School in Thatcher, Ariz…competed four   years of volleyball, basketball and track and field, and one season of   tennis…in volleyball, she was a two-time all-region selection after   helping lead the Eagles to a combined 59-3 record during her final two   seasons…that included a 2A state championship in 2008 before falling in   the state final during her senior season of 2009…averaged 2.3 kills and   0.9 blocks per set while hitting .350 as a senior…was named to the  state  championship all-tournament team in 2009…also named Thatcher’s   Student-Athlete of the Year in 2010, and made the Dean’s List all four   years of high school.
 
 Personal
 Parents are Erin and Becky Motes…will be a graduate student at   Sacramento State after earning her bachelor’s degree in English (minor   in business) from CSU Bakersfield in June of 2012, just two months shy   of her 20th birthday…will pursue her master’s degree in business at   Sacramento State…played four years of club volleyball for Gila Valley   Juniors of Thatcher, Ariz.
