Biography

As a senior (2017): A second team all-American Athletic Conference selection after competing with the varsity eight in every spring race…now a two-time all-league selection as she was named to the first team a year ago…one of four Hornets to compete with the team’s top boat in all 11 spring races…has now competed with the varsity eight in 33 consecutive races dating back to her sophomore season…sat in both the six seat (eight times) and stroke seat (three times) during the spring…sat at six during the varsity eight’s bronze medal winning performance at the American Athletic Conference Championship…also helped the varsity eight to first place finishes at the Sacramento State Invitational and Hornet Invitational…an American Athletic Conference all-academic selection.

As a junior (2016):
A first team all-American Athletic Conference and first team all-WIRA selection…also named the team’s Most Outstanding Rower…competed with the varsity eight in every spring race…sat in the four seat during each of the varsity eight’s first nine races of the season before closing the year with two straight appearances in the stroke seat…stroked the varsity eight at the American Athletic Conference Championship…sat at four for the Hornets’ bronze medal winning performance at the WIRA Championship.

As a sophomore (2015):
One of five Hornets to race with the varsity eight in all 11 spring races…sat in the two seat during the first six races, before switching to the three seat the final five races of the season…sat at three with the bronze medal winning varsity eight at the American Athletic Conference Championship…was the only Hornet underclassman to compete with the varsity eight during the season…rowed with the second varsity eight last year as a true freshman before making the jump to the top boat this year.

As a freshman (2014):
Sat at two with the varsity four at the Sacramento State Invitational, and then competed the remaining 10 races of the season with the second varsity eight in the two seat…won a gold medal with the second varsity eight at the WIRA Championships…that boat was named the Conference USA Boat of the Week after posing one of the fastest JV8 times in school history (6:53.10)…named to Conference USA’s Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

High School: A 2013 graduate of Desert Vista High School in Phoenix, Ariz…rowed two years for the Tempe Junior Crew in Arizona…won a gold medal as a member of the women’s quad at the 2012 Newport Autumn Rowing Festival…also won silver in the novice single in 2012 at both the Long Beach Junior Invitational and Desert Sprints…took home a silver with the quad at the 2011 Newport Autumn Rowing Festival.

Personal: Parents are David and Valerie…a mathematics major.
