Biography

As a senior (2016): Was the primary coxswain for the Hornets’ varsity four during the spring…coxed the boat to a gold medal at the WIRA Championship…coxed the varsity four six times, including the American Athletic Conference Championship…also coxed the second varsity eight on three occasions.

As a junior (2015):
Served as the primary coxswain for the varsity eight…coxed the boat in nine of 11 spring races…coxed the varsity eight to a bronze medal at the American Athletic Conference Championship…her two races as coxswain of the second varsity eight came at the WIRA Championship where she guided the boat to a silver medal…in her first two years with the program, Mauer has 11 races of experience under her belt with the varsity eight, and 11 races with the second varsity eight.

As a sophomore (2014):
Was the coxswain of the varsity eight the first two spring races of the season before coxing the second varsity eight the boat’s final nine races of the season…coxed the JV8 to a gold medal at the WIRA Championships and a 28-second victory over UC Davis…the boat was named the Conference USA Boat of the Week after winning WIRAs and posting one of the fastest times in school history (6:53.10)…named to Conference USA’s Honor Roll for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Personal: A communication studies major.
