STOCKTON, Calif. -- Sacramento State concluded ITA Northwest Regional play on Sunday at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. The tournament, which began Thursday, featured each of the 12 schools in the Northwest Region.

The Hornets competed nine players at the event, with all nine playing in both the singles and doubles draws.

As a team, Sacramento State combined to win 12 singles matches, including two apiece from David Dai, Martin Duris, Freddie Healey, Sebastian Vlahos and Miles Whitehead. The qualifying round of 64 took place on Thursday while the main draw began on Friday.

Of the Hornets' nine players at the event, there are four freshmen, four sophomores and one junior. Sacramento State was the only team in the tournament to compete just one upperclassman.

The Hornets are back in Stockton to wrap up their fall schedule at the Pacific Invitational on Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The spring season begins on Jan. 14 with a road doubleheader at UC Riverside.
