MEN’S TENNIS SIGNS FIVE-STAR RECRUIT ADAM CHODUR

SACRAMENTO -- The Sacramento State men's tennis program announced that Adam Chodur has signed to play with the Hornets, and will be eligible to compete with the program in January. Chodur will be a true freshman.

A 6-foot-2, 170-pound native of Castaic, Calif., Chodur becomes the third player of Sacramento State's 2022-23 recruiting class, joining Jiri Novak and Tyler Waddock.

• Ranked the 27th best recruit in the country
• Currently has a 12 UTR (Universal Tennis Rating)
• Has won multiple national tournaments in both singles and doubles play
• Recently defeated Karl Lee (6-3, 1-6, 6-4). Lee finished last season as the No. 3 singles player at UCLA
• Has a 9-5 record against five-star recruits, and 7-0 vs. four-star recruits
• A 2022 graduate of Blue Ridge Academy in Maricopa, Calif.

Assistant coach Mikus Losbergs - "Adam will make an immediate impact in both singles and doubles. He thought about turning pro after high school, but we are extremely excited he will play collegiate tennis and become a Hornet. We anticipate Adam being one of the best players in the Big Sky Conference immediately as a freshman."
