Student-Athlete of the Week, Sept. 16 - Sept. 22
Hannah Gendron made her first career starts in place of injured junior goalkeeper Kimberly Mata and led the Hornets to a win and a tie with 20 total saves. On Sunday against Pacific she allowed just one goal while making 14 saves, which tied for the second most saves in a match in program history. She had nine saves in the first half and five in the second to lead the Hornets to the win. On Friday she made six saves in her first career start, including two saves in overtime as Sacramento State earned a 2-2 draw vs. Fresno State. For the week she faced 44 total shots and made 20 saves with a 1.35 goals against average and an .870 save percentage.
