SACRAMENTO — Though the Hornets did not play today after Northern Colorado elected not to travel to Sacramento citing poor air quality, the Hornets found out their opponent, and what time they will play at next week's Big Sky Tournament in Greeley, Colo.

After the Big Sky Conference's slate of teams completed the regular season today, Sacramento State will assume the No. 4 seed at the conference's postseason tournament and play No. 5 seed Idaho State in the quarterfinals on Thanksgiving Day. A total of four quarterfinal matches will take place on Thursday on Northern Colorado's home floor, and the Hornets and Bengals will play at 9 a.m. PST. The winner of that match will advance to play in Friday's semifinals at 3:30 p.m. PST.

Other quarterfinal matchups include No. 1 Northern Arizona vs. No. 8 Montana State at 11:30 a.m. PST, No. 2 Idaho vs. No. 7 Montana at 3:30 p.m. PST, and No. 3 Weber State vs. No. 6 Northern Colorado at 6 p.m. PST.

The winners of the two Friday semifinal matches will play for the championship on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. PST. The winner of the championship match receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Hornets reached last year's championship match inside the Nest, but fell in five sets to North Dakota.

The Big Sky is playing its conference tournament at pre-determined sites this year and next, and Northern Colorado won a bid to host this year's event, and Sacramento State will host next season's tournament.

All matches during the tournament will be streamed for free on Pluto TV Channel 231 and WatchBigSky.com. The semifinals and championship will also air on Eleven Sports.
