OGDEN, Utah -  Sacramento State forward Tiffany Miras was named the Big Sky Conference's women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced this morning. Miras was tabbed for the award after scoring both goals in Sacramento State's 2-0 win at CSU Bakersfield on Sunday.

A difference maker off the bench for the Hornets this season, Miras wasted no time in impacting Sunday's match. After entering the game in at the 38:48 mark, Miras put her team ahead 1-0 with a goal just 27 seconds later. The score was her first of the year and proved to be the game-winner as the Hornets shut out the 'Runners on the road.

For good measure, Miras added her second goal in the 79th minute, all but sealing the victory for the Hornets. Sunday was the first career brace for Miras, who now has five points (two goals, one assist) this season, tied for third most on the team.

The awards is the first of Miras' Hornets career and the third for the team this season. She joins Kylee Kim-Bustillos (Sept. 17) and Aaliyah Fesili (Sept. 3).

With Miras' selection, Sacramento State has won back-to-back Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week awards.

With Sunday's 2-0 win over CSU Bakersfield, Sacramento State heads into Big Sky Conference play with an eight-match unbeaten streak, the longest active streak in the league and the second longest in Hornets program history. Conference competition starts this Friday, Sept. 27, as they Hornets travel to Weber State to take on the Wildcats.
