SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The 2019 Sacramento State women's soccer schedule is now available, announced 13th year head coach Randy Dedini on Wednesday. The schedule, which is available online and in printable PDF format, features 18 regular season matches, including nine at home at Hornet Field.

The season begins on Friday, August 16 with a preseason exhibition matchup against Fresno State at home. The regular season will begin one week later, on the road, as the Hornets take on causeway rivals UC Davis in Davis on Friday, August 23. 

Sacramento State's home opener is scheduled for Sunday, August 25 when the Hornets host Cal Poly at 1:00 pm. The match is the first of two that afternoon at Sacramento State as the men's team will host Santa Clara in an exhibition match at 5:00 pm that evening. 

The 2019 schedule includes a four-day trip to Hawaii for the Hawaii Invitational. The Hornets will face host Hawaii on on August 31 before taking on the Nevada Wolf Pack, also in Hawaii, on Sept. 2. The trip is the team's first to Hawaii since 2016.

After returning from the islands, the Hornets will play four straight home contests, hosting Pacific (9/5), Cal Baptist (9/8), San Jose State (9/12), and Toldeo (9/15). The match against Cal Baptist is another Hornets doubleheader with the men's team hosting CSU Bakersfield later that afternoon. 

The non-conference schedule ends with a road match at CSU Bakersfield on Sept. 22. 

Big Sky play gets underway on the road as the Hornets open against last year's regular season champions, the Weber State Wildcats, on Sept. 27 before playing at Idaho State on Sept. 29. From there, it's two home league matchups against Northern Arizona and Southern Utah on Oct. 4 and 6, respectively.

The Hornets head back out on the road for a a three-match trip through Portland State (10/13), defending Big Sky tournament champions Montana (10/18), and Northern Colorado (10/20). Sacramento State ends the regular season at home with matches against Idaho on Friday, Oct. 25 and Eastern Washington on Sunday, Oct. 27. 

The Big Sky Conference Tournament is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, Nov. 6 through Sunday, Nov. 10. The tournament will be hosted at the regular season champion's.
