  • WOMEN'S GOLF SIGNS KOGA AND DABOS TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

    The Sacramento State women’s golf team announced today the signing of Jennifer Koga and Guadalupe Dabos to National Letters of Intent. The pair will both enroll at the University in the fall of 2020 as freshmen.

    Sacramento State freshman Tess Blair was named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Blair who is in her first semester at Sacramento State.
  • BLAIR WINS, TIES SCHOOL RECORD AS WOMEN'S GOLF FINISHES FIRST IN HAWAII

    The Sacramento State women’s golf team rallied behind a school-record tying round of 66 from Tess Blair to win the team title at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Wednesday at Kapolei Golf Course. Along with claiming the team championship, the Hornets also had Blair win the individual crown with a three-round total of 71-70-66-207 which set the school record. The team’s total of 291-287-285-864 is tied for the fourth best in program history.

    Freshmen Tess Blair and Cloe Grand each shot 70 and Nishtha Madan added a 1-under par round of 71 for the low scores among Sacramento State golfers during the second round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Tuesday. Grand, who is competing as an individual sits in second place, Blair is tied for third and Madan is tied for sixth.

    Sacramento State freshmen Cloe Grand and Tess Blair shot 70 and 71 to lead the Hornets in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational on Monday at Kapolei Golf Course. Grand, who is playing as an individual, holds the individual lead while Blair is one shot back and tied for second.
  • NISHTHA MADAN EARNS SECOND BIG SKY GOLFER OF THE WEEK AWARD THIS SEASON

    After recording four rounds of 72 or better, Sacramento State’s Nishtha Madan was named the Big Sky Conference Co-Women’s Golfer of the Week. The honor is the second for Madan this season and the third of her career.
  • MADAN EARNS FIRST COLLEGIATE VICTORY AFTER SHOOTING 2-UNDER PAR

    Nishtha Madan shot a 2-under par round of 70 to claim her first collegiate victory at the UW Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Wednesday. The senior shot 74-70-144 in the rain-shortened tournament to finish four strokes ahead of the closest competitor. The Hornets finished in fourth place in the team standings.
  • WEATHER CUTS EDEAN IHLANFELDT INVITATIONAL DOWN TO 36-HOLE TOURNAMENT

    Sofie Babic and Nishtha Madan each shot 74 as the Sacramento State women's golf team battled the course as well as the elements during the first round of the UW Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational on Monday. The tournament was originally scheduled to have two rounds on the Tuesday with a single round on Wednesday. However, after a lengthy weather delay around noon, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes with a single round each day.

    True freshman Cloe Grand shot a career best 68 to finish 2-under par and post the low score for the Sacramento State women’s golf team on Sunday in the final round of The Princess Anne Invitational. Unfortunately for the Hornets, Grand was competing as an individual and did not count towards the team total.

  • VIDEN SHOOTS 67; WOMEN'S GOLF FINISHES EIGHTH AT GOLFWEEK CONFERENCE CHALLENGE

    Corinne Viden matched her career best by shooting a 5-under par round of 67 during the final round of the Golfweek Conference Challenge on Wednesday at Red Sky Golf Club. Viden’s total, which was bogey free, tied her score from the first round of the Juli Inkster Meadow Club Collegiate last year. The 67 is tied for second lowest in school history and is just one stroke off of Julia Becker’s record set last season.
