SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State women's basketball team hosted their first ever Night in the Nest season tip off dinner event Thursday night, welcoming more than 100 fans, friends, and family to a night out in the Nest.

The event served as an introduction to the 2018-19 Sacramento State women's basketball team and featured short speeches from head coach Bunky Harkleroad, athletics director Mark Orr, and senior Raegen Rohn

Fans, friends, and family had the chance to learn about the team, the Hornets' Team 54 identity, and the program as a whole while enjoying music, dinner, and conversation. The evening was highlighted by a special film featuring each of the 17 players on the 2018-19 roster.

The Night in the Nest was the first such season opening event for the women's basketball team under current head coach Bunky Harkleroad as well as the first event of it's kind in the newly renovated Nest.

The Sacramento State women's basketball season kicks off this Sunday with a home game against the Cal Poly Mustangs at 2:05 p.m. For more information on tickets and the full 2018-19 schedule, please visit the women's basketball schedule page online at HornetSports.com.
