“Our program is very privileged to land a quality coach in Carl Caughell,” Director of Track & Field Kenny McDaniel sad. “One of Carl’s greatest gifts is his capacity to teach technique in the vertical and horizontal events. He also has a natural ability to draw people to him which will be huge in recruiting for our program. Carl is a comprehensive coach who understands all the intricacies of the jumps and multi events. He will bring an extensive training system to our program which will enhance our student-athletes’ performances.”

What Others Are Saying
Gabe Sanders, Stanford Assistant Coach
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with Coach Caughell on a number of occasions in recent summers and without a doubt he ‘get’s it.’ He gets what is means to be a teacher, a mentor, a worker, and a pupil all in one. He impresses me not only with his knowledge of the sport but how well he communicates and relates to athletes from every background and level. He absolutely has the ability, background, knowledge and ethic to take any young person as far as they want to go in the sport and will be a valuable asset to not only his staff but the entire university. Congratulations to Carl and I look forward to continued ascension in the sport!"
