  • BEDINGFIELD, PATTERSON NAMED BIG SKY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    The Sacramento State duo of Shilah Bedingfield and Brittany Patterson both began their junior seasons by earning a Big Sky Conference Athlete of the Week award, it was announced today. Bedingfield was named the Big Sky Female Track Athlete of the Week while Patterson was the Field Athlete of the Week based on their performances at the Bronco Invitational in Boise, Idaho on Saturday.

    The Sacramento State track and field program started its season later than every other school in the Big Sky but the Hornets showed no signs of rust as the team accounted for six individual wins and seven school top 10 marks, including a school record at the Bronco Invitational on Saturday.
  • INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD TO START SEASON AT BRONCO INVITATIONAL AND POLE VAULT SUMMIT

    The Sacramento State men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams begin their 2020 season at the Bronco Invitational on Saturday at Boise State. The Hornets will have 30 women and 12 men compete at the one day meet. The Hornet pole vaulters will also be in action this weekend at the Pole Vault Summit in Reno.

    The Sacramento State women were picked to defend their Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field title, it was announced today as part of the league's preseason poll. The Hornet men were selected to finish ninth.
