2018 Season
A first team all-Big Sky Conference selection for the second straight season…received all-league recognition each of her four seasons with the Hornets, including honorable mention accolades as a freshman and sophomore…started all 51 games of the season at second base…led the Big Sky with a career-best .394 batting average, the sixth best single-season mark in Sacramento State’s Div. I era (1990-pres.)…was one hit shy of batting an even .400…struck out just twice in 175 at-bats, leading the nation with one strikeout every 87.5 at-bats…went the first 140 at-bats of the season without a strikeout…hit safely in 42 of the team’s 51 games…that included hitting streaks of 21 games, 13 games, and five games long…the 21-game hitting streak (March 6-April 13) tied for the longest mark in the 51-year history of the program (Izmena Cabrera had a 21-gamer in 2009)…her 69 hits led the Big Sky, and ranked as the second most in the program’s Div. I single-season era…was 69-for-175 with 32 runs scored, 16 RBIs, a .414 on-base percentage and was 9-for-10 in stolen base attempts…hit second in the lineup in all 51 games…led the team with a .439 average against Big Sky opposition, a .442 average with runners in scoring position and 21 multiple-hit games…a career .350 hitter, Hinton hit at least .315 all four years of her career…played in 200 games, including 197 starts at second base…ranks among the top 11 players in Sacramento State’s Div. I era in 10 different categories, including first in sacrifices (54), second in hits (231), third in at-bats (660), sixth in batting average (.350), seventh in runs scored (98) and eighth in total bases (251)…owns four of the top 10 longest hitting streaks in Sacramento State's Div. I era -- 21 games in 2009 (T1st), 15 games in 2017 (T6th), and 13 games in both 2016 and 2018 (T7th).

2017 Season
A first team all-Big Sky Conference selection after being one of two Hornet to appear in all 50 games…started 49 games at second base…second on the team with a .331 batting average and struck out just three times in 157 at-bats…ranked fifth in the nation in toughest to strike out (once ever 52.3 at-bats)…led the Hornets in at-bats (157) and sacrifices (16)…also ranked fifth in the nation in sacrifices per game (0.32)…had a season-best 15-game hitting streak that lasted from Feb. 26 until March 19…had 12 multiple-hit games…hit safely in 39 of her 49 starts…batted .333 (13-for-39) with runners in scoring position…seven of her 13 RBIs came with two outs in an inning…committed just four errors in 186 total chances, good for a .978 fielding percentage.

2016 Season
An honorable mention all-Big Sky Conference selection after starting 49 games at second base…only game she didn’t start came during the regular season finale because of injury…finished second on the team with a .356 batting average (58-for-163), including 27 runs scored, 17 RBIs, a .398 on-base percentage and six stolen bases…led the team with 10 sacrifices…committed just three errors all season, good for a .984 fielding percentage…163 at-bats were the most on the team…struck out just once every 27.2 at-bats, the 29th best mark in the nation…hit first or second in the batting lineup all 49 games in which she appeared…had a 13-game hitting streak (Feb. 28-Mar. 26)…led the team in batting average with runners in scoring position (.367)…nine of her 17 RBIs came with two outs…also had a team-high 19 multiple-hit games…named to the Big Sky Championship all-tournament team after hitting .500 (7-for-14) with five runs scored over four games…finished the season on a six-game hitting streak and hit safely in 35 games overall.

2015 Season
Was the lone Hornet freshman to receive all-Big Sky recognition when she was named honorable mention all-league…appeared in 50 games, including 48 starts at second base…started 48 of the final 49 games of the season…finished third on the team with a .315 batting average (52-for-165) while adding 20 runs, 13 RBIs, two stolen bases and a team-high 17 sacrifices…the 17 sacrifices were the third most in Sacramento State Div. I era single-season history (1990-pres.), and her average of 0.34 sacrifices per game ranked as the 10th best mark in the nation…struck out just once every 23.6 at-bats, the 32nd best mark in the nation…had nine multiple-hit games during the final 16 games of the season…raised her batting average 44 percentage points over that span…her total of 17 multiple-hit games ranked second on the team…hit .333 (23-for-69) against Big Sky competition…hit .339 (20-for-59) with two outs in an inning.

High School
A 2014 graduate of Sheldon High School in Sacramento…played four years of varsity softball for the Huskies…a two-time first team all-city and four-time all-Delta River League selection (first team in 2013 and 2014; second team in 2011 and 2012)…helped lead the team to a combined 82-39 overall record, a 29-11 conference mark, a Delta River League championship (2014) and back-to-back Sac Joaquin Div. I section championships in 2011 and 2012…Hinton was a starter all four years of her high school career and hit .400 or better each of those seasons…in fact, in 102 career games played, she hit .477 (159-333) with 123 runs scored, 17 doubles, 13 triples, two home runs, 68 RBIs, 28 stolen bases and a robust 1.159 ops…in addition, she committed just four errors her entire career and averaged 1.2 runs scored per game…as a senior, she was the Delta River League co-MVP after leading the league in batting average (.561) and on-base percentage (.596) while also ranking third in fielding percentage (.992) and fourth in slugging percentage (.829)…also hit .458 as a junior, .522 as a sophomore and .400 during her freshman season…struck out just 12 times her entire career, or once every 27.8 at-bats…did not strike out her entire sophomore season.

Personal
Parents are Keith and Zanetta…a criminal justice major who graduated in May of 2018… played ASA ball for the Lady Magic of Elk Grove, and was teammates on that squad with Celina Matthias and Marissa Maligad.
