SOFTBALL’S SATURDAY GAMES IN HONOLULU CANCELED DUE TO RAIN

HONOLULU — Due to heavy rains that hit the Honolulu area, both of Sacramento State's games on Saturday have been canceled. The Hornets were supposed to play both Oregon State and Boise State today in what was supposed to be the final day of the Paradise Softball Classic at Rainbow Wahine Field.

Sacramento State finishes the tournament with a 2-2 record, which included a pair of wins yesterday against UAB (5-3) and Boise State (8-3). On Thursday, the Hornets opened the tournament with a 6-3 loss to Oregon State and 5-0 against tournament host Hawai'i. The games marked the season openers for all five teams competing in the tournament.

The Hornets do not play again until the home opener against UC Davis on Feb. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at Shea Stadium. That game will mark Sacramento State's lone home contest during the entire month of February.
